Overall
Abandoned in their time of need

The Smoky Mountain Trader began in 1987. They charge $5.00 to print an ad but for the first two years they charged nothing. The truck they delivered their papers in had a bad wreck and sadly they had no insurance.

They started renting a truck and they needed $17,000 to buy another one. They asked the people to give them donations so they could get another truck. They needed $17 grand but they only received $1000.

Thousands of people had placed ads in the Smoky Mountain Trader for free. The least they could've done was sent $1 each but they wouldn't. I gave them a dollars worth of change. When they couldn't get the $17,000, they started having to charge for printing ads.

The Smoky Mountain Trader helped many people by printing their ads so that they could sell their items and earn money. But when they needed these people's help, they were abandoned. It's unbelieveable how cheap people are.
