Cafe Mavi

I was horribly disappointed by how slow and impersonal the service was at Cafe Mavi. I sat at a table outside, by myself, and waited at least 15 minutes before the waiter even acknowledged my presence. He flopped 2 menus on the table then disappeared again. He stormed past my table twice before asking if I wanted anything, and even then he asked me from atop the stairs. I had time to request a beverage, then I was left alone again.



My soup was luke warm at best. I ordered a sandwich, they didn't have what I requested. The one I did end up with took an eternity to come out and it was horribly small; piled high with tons of lettuce as a cheap filler, very thick bitter slices of tomato, and it was surrounded by oodles of greasy potato chips. (more cheap filler). The "grilled chicken" was about 1/8" thick ! When the tomato slices are more hearty than the main ingredient, there'a a problem. The whole experience took almost an hour. For soup & a sandwich?? My time is more valuable than that.



I feel like it was a horrible waste of time & money. Watered down iced tea, small soup, greasy chips, & pathetic sandwich for $16. Sorry, not for me.



The salads there look magnificent. Perhaps that's the thing to order there, but I'll never know, because I won't be going back.
