busy place, nice, a little loud, and the music they were playing didn't go to well. very sugestive lirics on the radio station. our kids and us were a little imbaraced to have to lissen to very suggestive songs during dinner with kids. we were glad when the mariochies got there and they turned off the radio. food was good. home made tortillas, food good but not real authintic. more of a sports bar environment than a family resaurant.
I use to eat here when I was a kid, when it was located downtown...absolutely delicious!!
I use to eat at Arroyo's Cafe downtown years ago. This Arroyo's Cafe is just as good. Great Food with a Real Family Atmosphere and the People are still friendly.
I highly recommend Arroyo's.
Sincerely,
Scoot Shockley
First Off - This is not fine Mexican.
My first time going to Arroyo's was on Wednesday, April 28, 2010.
I ordered the fish tacos, my friends ordered enchiladas, and another ordered tostadas and quesadilla. All of Arroyos food was horrible. The rice was stale for each dinner plate. I think they probably buy the Spanish rice in a box from Food4less. The same thing with the tortilla. They were cold and tasted like it came from an open packaged for my fish tacos. The food was very plain. The cheese quesadilla tasted like crap. It was basically eating a block of chess. The enchiladas were dry on the inside. Everything tasted very old. My friends, who are from different cities, got annoyed at me for taking them their and I was a little embarrassed.
All their food was plain, nothing fine, but very salty. I assure you- all the positive postings by these other people with good reviews for Arroyo's are false.
The service was weird. The waiter kept on coming by and would stare at us then leave. Everyone at our table needed water to be refilled, but the waiter never bothered to refill any of our water.
for $8.25 for a dinner plate is over priced for their food. You are better off going to Taco Bell or Aldaberto's on hammerlane and Kelley Dr instead of coming here and wasting your money.
Aside from the location - I have nothing positive to say about this restaurant. I am never coming here again. In the words of Anthony Bourdain, "Fake Mexican food makes me angry."
