The earlier you have your wisdom teeth evaluated and treated, the better the outcome will be. Most patients are first assessed by a dentist, orthodontist, or oral surgeon in their mid-teens.

Temporary crowns, the tooth-like caps used when replacing teeth, are placed on immediate dental implants so that patients can enjoy a fuller smile immediately. Immediate dental implants are long-lasting, sturdy, and are designed to match the shape, size, and coloring of your natural teeth. Traditional dental implants often require two or more dental procedures to fully restore missing teeth. Immediate dental restorations are designed to make receiving dental implants simpler and more efficient.
Bridges
Zygomatic dental implants are a long-lasting solution to missing teeth, and unlike dentures or dental bridges, zygoma dental implants do not require special creams or pastes. Zygoma implants are strong, durable dental implants that are designed to act like your naturally-occurring teeth. Patients with zygomatic implants can eat virtually any food without the concern of their teeth shifting or loosening, which may occur with dental bridges or dentures.

Dentures
A labial frenectomy of the lower lip is commonly performed to correct periodontal issues such as receding gums, diastema, and other conditions that can negatively impact the functionality of your lips, mouth, or teeth. A labial frenectomy of the lower lip is often performed in patients who are being fitted for dentures. Frenum are often removed in patients receiving dentures because the frenum of your lip moves in conjunction with your lips, dislodging and reducing the stability of dentures. With a labial frenectomy, your dentures will be securely placed, and the risk of them becoming dislodged is greatly reduced.
Overdentures
A dental crown is used to replace each missing tooth or teeth. A dental crown (prosthesis) is attached to the dental implant that is securely placed in your jaw. A fixed bridge, also known as a partial prosthesis, is capable of replacing two or more teeth. Fixed bridges may only require 2 or 3 dental implants. On the other hand, a complete dental prosthesis is capable of replacing all missing teeth in your lower or upper jaw. The total number of dental implants differs depending on what type of complete prosthesis is recommended for your dental implant procedure. Overdentures, also known as removable teeth or dentures, attach to a socket bar or ball. A fixed prosthesis is permanent and can only be removed by a dentist.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are tiny titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing, acting as tooth root substitutes. The bone is able to bond with the dental implant to create a strong foundation for artificial teeth. A small post is attached to the implant, which protrudes through the gums. These posts provide stable anchors for artificial teeth. Dental implants are also a great way to help preserve facial structure by preventing bone deterioration associated with missing teeth.

Jaw Surgery

Tooth Extractions
If a tooth has been severely damaged due to injury, accident, or decay, it may need to be extracted. While some teeth that are damaged or decayed may be effectively treated with a filling, teeth that are too damaged to be repaired must be removed. Ridge Augmentation
Ridge augmentation surgery is commonly performed after tooth extraction to help reconstruct your natural gum and jawline. Your alveolar ridges, also known as your alveolar margins, are your two jaw ridges that contain the alveoli of the teeth. An alveolus is the small socket that holds the roots of your teeth.
Bone Grafting
The material used for a bone grafting procedure is determined by several factors and varies from case to case. Large defects are generally repaired using the patient's own bone. If our oral surgeons determine that this is the best course of action in your individual case, the graft will be harvested from your jaw, skull, hip, or lateral knee, depending on the amount of bone needed for the graft.

Braces
The treatment of impacted canine teeth differs from the treatment of impacted wisdom teeth because the goal is eruption, not extraction. Since the most common cause of impacted canine teeth is overcrowding in the jaw, the first step in their treatment is to create a space for them to grow. Orthodontists often attempt to do this by placing braces on the upper teeth to open spaces for the eruption of the impacted canines. For many people, treatment of impacted canines requires the extraction of baby teeth and/or adult teeth that are blocking the eruption of the cuspid tooth to be performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
