Excavation
Today Avon Corporation is a multi faceted general contractor which self performs most of our own work and provides specialty services as well. We can build small buildings and additions from the ground up, handle large site projects, parks and trails, stream restorations, underpinning, earth excavation support and deep foundation improvements. Avon Corporation’s ability can be attributed to our highly diverse personnel. We have carpenters, concrete finishers, masons, equipment operators, welders etc, which allows us to handle just about any project. We employ highly skilled subcontractors with which we have developed long working relationship over the years to handle those tasks we do not perform with the same level of quality and confidence we expect. We take great pride in doing a good job, delivering projects on time and within budget. Our name and our reputation are our most prized assets.
Retaining Walls
Avon Corporation was established in 1979 as a Site and Specialty contractor. Our work involved parks and playgrounds, recreational facilities, hardscape projects and miscellaneous site work. Within a few years Avon Corporation quickly grew performing larger projects. Our capabilities expanded to include large retaining walls and storm water/drainage improvements and then the company grew again with projects for building additions, structural repairs and site improvements.

Window Installation/Replacement
Early signs for problem foundations consist of stair stepped cracking in the exterior masonry, sloping floors, bulging walls, doors and windows not functioning properly and cracks within the interior finished walls. These conditions can lead to more serious issues if left unchecked.

Carpentry
Many of the apartment buildings and condominiums that where constructed in the 50’s and 60’s have foundation walls and structural members in need of repairs. We perform select work for concrete, masonry and carpentry repairs for engineers, management companies and associations. We have repaired or replaced slabs, spanned, beams, joists, trusses and masonry veneer for projects in the metropolitan region.
Masonry
Avon Corporation performs work for foundations and structural repairs for numerous projects in the Metropolitan Region. Some notable projects include Radcliff Allison House,City of Alexandria Wilkes Street Tunnel, City of Fairfax Museum, Mount Zion Church, Brentville Church, WM Project, and the boyhood home of Robert E. Lee. We have experienced personnel to perform the intricate work to stabilize foundations, masonry repairs and structural timber repairs.
