May20,2018 my LG top load wash machine quit working. The power died and would not come back on. The washer is full of water and closed with no way to open the top and get the clothes out. We called and reported this claim to American Home shield 05/20/18 8:30pm the representative took our service fee and advised someone would be in touch Monday morning. Monday afternoon 05/21/18 no call so my husband call back and was advised that there was never a claim submitted. They put my husband in touch with a contractor Appliance Tech Inc 7924 Timarand ct. Lorton VA 22079 who requested a picture of the wash machine with model number. We sent this picture and was told they would order the mother board right then and there. The technician come to our home 05/23/18 with no mother board and said he just needed to confirm that this was in fact an issue. He said the part is on back order and he needed to speak with AHS to get the part ordered. I asked about the clothes sitting in the water and how can we open the wash machine and he told me I don’t know. We called American Home Shield(AHS) who advised they had to do what the contractor said. It is now 05/29/18 2:07pm and Appliance Tech Inc. comes to install the mother board. They proceeded to tell me that this isn’t the issue after all. The technician then stated I think it could be a filter assembly. And he would need to order this part now and it will be a couple of days. So Now I have taking off time from work on 2 different days only to be told they can’t fix the issue. He was even holding his breath the stench is so bad from the sitting water and clothes that can’t be removed because he doesn’t know how to open the locked door. Called to speak with a supervisor at AHS today at 3:40pm was told it would take a supervisor 24/48hrs to respond to us.
