My name is David H. Waggoner, and I feel GAT’s clients have a right to know how they conduct themselves in all its dealings. The gross negligence and exquisite incompetence of the employees of Great American Title Company’s Florida Ave, Joplin location, specifically Tammy Garroutte, Penny Kruse, and a title inspector known to me only as Tara, cost my father the sale of his home, the proceeds of which were to go to his continued medical care. To add insult to injury, Ms. Garroutte has handled this entire debacle with flippancy and condescension. Because the title inspector handling the sale of my father’s home was admittedly ignorant of basic real estate and estate law, she unilaterally ceased progress on the proceedings at 5pm on the Friday before our scheduled Monday, July 30 closing. This action spooked the buyer, and they somewhat understandably withdrew their offer, even though it was quickly discovered by Great American that there was no actual basis for their knee jerk reaction. My hope is that by disseminating information about this level of incompetence, that Southwest Missouri lenders will seriously reconsider doing business with Great American Title and it’s deal-killing policies and procedures.

The ladies in this store are very professional. They answered all my questions and explained the process thoroughly to me before starting the loan process. Brooke was my favorite. She was so sweet and understanding. I would definitely refer TitleMax to family and friends.
Do not get a loan through this company!!!!! Asked to pay off my loan got told an amt paid that amt online....come to find out i was given the wrong amt...then i get blamed for the error...great costumer service:(...they had no clue who gave me the amt and then said well the online payment system would have given you the exact amt....wrong i consistently was given one amt by them over the phone then a different amt online....but dont bother telling them that i was just argued with.
I really enjoy the help and offers that Tower Loan provides. I even like and enjoy talking to most of the individuals that work there. So I had no problem until.... I got behind. I know I am tough to get a hold of. I own that. But when you call someone job before their home or cell phone. That's a problem. I cant pay you if I don't I have a job. I don't want people in my business... I sit around twenty people anyone could hear my problems/issues/business. I will call you back when I get a chance. I continue to pay, even if it is late. But when you call and are rude to my co-workers and tell someone who is not a manager or supervisor that is you don't talk to me, you will be talking to HR for garnishment...... That is over board. Needless to say I will be contacting their main office..... You don't tell anyone but HR about garnishment not just a co-worker who now tells people I don't pay my bills.YOU WILL BE PAID ASAP..... I will be seeking.....
The closing for the sale of our home took place at this business 4/27/2016. The sale price was not correct and the representative of this business indicated that it was somehow our fault. Because of the closing agents mistake we were inconvenienced and required to deliver a bank money order back to their location. In short the closing agent did not complete her due diligence. My expectation is that all the paperwork is correct and that this is the responsibility of the title company representative.
Horrible company, do not do business with them. First off they will trap you on a loan by adding all sorts of "extras" on to it without your permission or telling you about it. After finding out about it and trying to have it removed, the employee will pretend he doesn't know how to do it. You will be told to come back another day, and have to go through hell trying to change it. Everything will seem fine after that, until your loan is almost paid off. Then interesting things start to happen. First, they will try to talk you into another loan. If you don't, then get ready for sent payments to mysteriously go missing, repeatedly. I could write a book about this company, but I have better things to do with my time. My advice, from a real person whose has real loans (multiple) through this company, is to stay far away. There are many other loan agencies to choose from, all you have to do is read the reviews.
Very unfriendly and harassing staff, Casey the lady they send around to give out notices is a royal B***H and is constanly in a bad mood, never smiles and is extremely rude to my family when she brings us notices. Also instead of putting a lein on the title and sending it back to you like most loan places they just keep it in the office. if i could give this a negative stars rating it would have been atleast -3 or -4
