I wouldn't put my dying dog in this place. Facility is clean and maintenance staff is excellent. The front office staff is a joke and the nursing staff is very unprofessional. I enter through the front door upon arriving to visit my grandmother and each time I hear profanity as I walk by the offices. The nursing staff seems to care more about smoking than they do about the residents under their care.

If you are considering a nursing home for a family member, please consider Magnolia Square. It's at 1502 W Edgewood in Springfield. My late husband was a resident of Magnolia Square for 5 years. I visited him nearly every day and thus am in a position to know about the care. The nurses and CNA's are so knowledgeable and caring. He was never uncomfortable or in pain. They took such excellent care of him that I'm sure he lived much longer than he would have otherwise. I looked at many nursing homes when he was first injured, and I can tell you that this is the best one. You can trust the care of your loved one to Magnolia Square. They will be treated like family.
it is truly sad how they have become to treat their employees! And yet to so highly speak of such religious beliefs. that they do not truly sad!
people probably are not coming to yp if they are searching for a care center. my experience is limited with this center however overall i was impressed with the staff and cleanliness. the residents appear to be well taken care of. my only complaint was the amount of time it took for staff to answer the call button. i would recommend this facility if you are in need.
My husband and I started working for The Neighborhoods at Quail Creek before they opened their doors. In the beginning everything was great. Now they are no different than any other nursing facility. They treat their employees like dirt. My husband was working 2 jobs. Third shift at Quail Creek then he'd deliver mail the next morning. He got offered a different position at the Post Office and decided to take it and put in his 2 week notice. He was working both jobs back to back for several days in a row and physically couldn't do it anymore and quit 4 days before his notice was up. We were aware that any unpaid wages would be dropped down to minimum wage (which I think is unfair considering that CNA's don't get paid enough as it is). During this time the company had already cut my husband a check (before he quit) and it was waiting for him to pick up. When he received it he didn't get the original check he was supposed to get. The administrator Michelle Brown (who's already been under investigation for ethics) decided to personally write him a check with $250 less than what he was supposed to get. We couldn't believe it. The company had already paid him! What she did was dirty. We have 4 children and two are having a party this weekend. She not only stole from my husband, but she stole from my kids. He still had another check he needed to pick up and that was the one that was expected to be garnished. I don't see how they can do this. Of course corporate big wigs could care less about a CNA. They are all about the money. If they treat their employees poorly then how do you think they will take care of the residents? In the end it's the residents who suffer because nobody will want to work there with the way they treat people. Even if what they did was "legally" right its unethical and lacks in integrity. There are some great employees at Quail Creek who deserve better than this. I don't understand how they can be in the business of helping people then do them this way. Don't let the fancy building fool you. The people running it are crooks.
