Lincare

My Medicare advantage insurance company had recommended Lincare for when I needed to purchase CPAP supplies. One day my CPAP tubing developed a hole. Not having enough time to order the tubing online, I went to Lincare on N. 40th Street in Springdale AR. I was told they could not sell me CPAP tubing unless I had a doctor's prescription and a copy of my medical sleep apnea report showing I actually had sleep apnea. I said I was in a bind and would not be able to get my tubing anywhere and it was needed in order for me to use my CPAP that night. They said they were sorry but that was their policy. I did not need a whole CPAP machine, but only the tubing! They did say they had my tubing in stock but could not sell it to me. Since when does a person need a doctors' prescription and a copy of their sleep apnea report to purchase a small piece of replacement tubing? I felt they went out of their way to be difficult and to inconvenience me. I am reporting Lincare to my medicare advantage insurance company, Better Business Bureau, and this Yelp Review. My insurance company recommended Lincare to me and never mentioned anything about needing a prescription and copy of my sleep apnea report in order to receive supplies. I was shocked to say the least. Companies should be going out of their way to help the customer. Because of Lincare I had to fish my CPAP tubing out of the trash and attempt to repair it with duck tape. I told Lincare this and they could have cared less. This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. The sooner they go out of business the better. Obviously, the customer is not their priority!
