Firehouse Kids Denistry

The dentist was patient with my son.

All the while, the assistant is making crappy remarks with a snide tone. "He keeps pulling it off." "He is being uncooperative." "This in't (sic) gonna work."

The dentist said he could use a papoose board (basically a strait jacket). The assistant said, very snidely, "The mom already said she won't consent to that." We agreed on sedation, they left the room.

My son was terrified.

The assistant had walked back in, having overheard me say that water wouldn't make the numbness go away, and she said very sternly. "No, it won't, but it might help. Do you want water?"

He said, "Yes."

She said, "You didn't help us at all. That was very mean."

He said, "Water! Water!"

She said, "If you want water, you have to ask. Is that how you ask?"

I grabbed my purse and left the office.
