Hertz

I had rented a car in aberdeen and drove it to spokane. I was told the $200. Deposit would be returned right away when I dropped off the car. No hertz at spokane airport was completely different. I was told I had to wait 3 days for my deposit to be returned. So I figured I would rent another car from them sense they had my money locked up. The woman behind the counter refused to take my credit card. The same one I rented with in aberdeen. She was very rude. She never ran my card she just looked at it and said no we don't take that card.
I said what it's a credit card and visa. I won't be renting again from them I guess I can't because my credit card isn't good enough .plus the woman behind the counter I don't wish on anyone either.

When I flew into Spokane last week, I went to the Hertz rent a car site to pick up the car I had rented through Priceline. They ran my debit card through equifax and denied it; no explanation - just a lame piece of paper saying that equifax would confirm my credit status within three months if I filled out a long form. (With my debit card i can buy all their cars)This left me stranded in the Spokane airport, with nothing but a resolution never again to go near a Hertz outlet!

I would go with another rental agency if I had it to do over. The counter girl was surly, and while we were the ONLY people at the counter she didn't think it necessary to explain what fees they were trying to put on my bill or about the gas options that were different from the last time I rented. They didn't have anyone to pull up the car, so we had to walk quite a while to get to the car, they clearly had dings in the car and big scratches in the paint but had marked it off as clean and dent free.. that it wasn't, there was still trash in the car from the previous drivers.. that car hadn't been vacuumed in a while.. We still had a long way to drive and didn't feel like we had the time to check with other car places to see what they had. She had told me we had to pay extra for any navigation service like GPS, but its a feature of the car... not an extra service.. When returning it.. its not clearly marked about where to return the car, and was told that they wouldn't accept it where it was parked and it had to be moved and then they still charged me for a full tank of Gas even though I had filled it up at the last gas station and the gas gauge clearly showed it was full ... have used them in the past but never again we rent a car minimum once a year.. they lost a long time customer.

Hertz rental car in Spokane charged my credit card an extra $200 for car insurance that I declined when asked by the counter girl. I alreay have my own car insurance so why would I accept thier insurance. I spoke with the manager Mark Tellvik, and he would not refund the money to my card. Hertz in Spokane cares nothing about customer service. I will never rent from Hertz again, there are plenty of other options.
