Jr's Whistle Stop

I had to go into the bar area to retrieve our waitress to order, and then again to get drinks and part of my supper that she failed to deliver to our table. In the hour plus we were there she not only didn't bring our drinks, but none of the other tables around ours either (15 people or so just drinking).

We never complained, but waitress finally realized we were ticked and then the owner strolls by & asks how it's going--so we told him the truth.

The owner said to "be thankful he served us at all." He said they could have just not served us. Hmmm...so the purpose of owning a restaurant is what then? How rude! What restaurant owner comes back with a ridiculously rude comment like that after just learning your customer didn't receive the best service?

Either Jr is a pompous tu-tu or he just plain doesn't give a crap about people who eat at his restaurant. Perhaps both.

We never complained--until he asked. We never yelled or cursed. We never asked for a reduced meal--which he quite verbally made clear there wouldn't be any before we even thought to ask.

Food was meager. Prices average. Atmosphere was dingy-tacky in my opinion, but typical bar/lounge except with kids there. Music was loud and the strobe was annoying. We should have ran before we ordered. Having to walk around to find a waitress should have been our clue. Live and learn.

We will NEVER return after the awful behaviour we received by the owner. As a business owner myself, I know bad customer relations when I hear and see it. This guy was appalling rude and did not even offer an apology. We paid our bill in full and left without tipping. A first for me.

My advice: Try a different restaurant where the owner and employees actually give a poop!
