Hartman & Tyner, Inc.

This is the MOST ghetto apartment complex's! The office consist of personel that would not be qualified to microwave burgers at a fast food restaurant. They get paid to provide the tenants with attitudes and sarcasim. If you do more research on the property owners, ypou will find that they have never had tenants that would recommend any one of their properties. I STRONGLY URGE you to check the whol;e property out before even stepping foot in the office. I have contacted the corporate quality assurance department via certified mail, fax, phone and email appoximatly a dozen times and have NEVER heard back from them. I have 10 other units in my building and we all feel the same. Do yourself a favor and make sure that you DO NOT move into a HARTMAN TYNER property.

Beware of this maintenance agency. They seem ingenious and cruel in their approach to tenants.

I lived in Knob in the Woods apartment for approximately three years and vacated my apartment by the end of summer in 2016. After I moved from the apartment, I cleaned the apartment for the best of my ability. I used the apartment respectfully and did not cause any major damages that I was aware off. One month after I vacated my apartment, Hartman & Tyner her send me a bill for around 870$, which was roughly equal to one months rent in the apartment that I was staying. I requested them for proof for the damages that they have claimed. Instead of sending me proof for damages that they claimed (required by Michigan law related to Tenant and Landlord relationships), they reported the damages to a debt collection agency. I stayed in the apartment for three years and payed my bills on time and maintained by apartment to the best of my ability. The least they could have done is to tell me, why they claimed the damages. They failed to do so. They have also charged me for maintenance issues that are to be expected from regular wear and tear. For example, when I moved in, I was told that the carpet was old and most likely it would have to replace at the end of the year. However, Hartman and Tyner requested payment for damages to the carpet after we stayed in the apartment for 3 years.

This review is not related to the Knob in the Woods management. This is related to the management company called Hartman and Tyner.

Hartman & Tyner Property Mismanagement Inc is a fetid, rotting example of what is wrong with Michigan & America as a whole. Their greed, lack of business foresight and incompetence is only matched by their apathy for their tenants. Lazy, problem employees are kept on while good employees that care about their jobs and making a nice community for tenants are harangued until they give up or are driven off. The upper management at Hartman & Tyner should be sent to live in Flint & made to drink the lead laced water so they can experience a little of what they subject their tenants to.

I have been a resident at Hines Park Apts for over 2 years and never in all my life have I experienced such poor customer etiquette! The management is ran by mean, rude and downright disrespectful people. The corporate office works hand in hand with the management and calling them is like calling nobody. I wouldn't recommend this property to my worst enemy and I wish someone would step in and do something! I have a two bedroom apartment and it has been unfinished for over 4 months and because I contacted corporate Me and my four year old son are being evicted! I've contacted corporate several times and they go along with the rude management! This is just one of many complaints I have!
