Dr Angela Xavier graduated medical school in India in 1998 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at State University of New York in Buffalo, NY and Seton Hall university in New Jersey including and extra year of training as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. She has worked as an internist since 2005. She has lived in Michigan since 2006. She believes in practicing evidence-based medicine in a setting which complements a person's life and preferences. She works hard to build strong and lasting relationships with her patients and their families. Her passion is to provide excellent preventive care. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". This is especially applicable to primary care. She also strives to provide comprehensive care to her patients and does procedures like PAP smears, skin biopsies, joint injections and trigger point injections in the office. She has been a member of ACP for many years and is currently a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. She loves to teach medical students and Residents and is currently faculty at Oakland University WB College of Medicine and MSU College of Human Medicine.
