        The Surf Motel is a beach motel located directly on the beach with access to a long boardwalk so your feet wont burn walking on the hot sand, definately a bonus during our hot summer months! All of our rooms have two double beds, microwave, fridge, sitting area, phone, cable, free wifi, and air conditioning. We have complimentary grills available on our large sun deck right outside the rooms with mulitple seating areas. Our motel has two floors with a large balcony on the 2nd level with a great view of the Gulf. We also have a full bar and resturaunt located right on site, and live entertainment Saturday and Sunday (wether permitting) Swimming pool and beach volleyball courts located right on the beach and we are walking distance to the Islands Entertainment District (Louies, Laguna Bobs, Tequila Sunset, Coconuts), Dining and Shopping. We are smack dap in the center of the island and every where you want to be.         Roach Motel & Beach Bar

        If you are looking for a place to stay when you visit SPI, let this place never come to mind. I chose it, because they had told me $66.00 a night and when I get there they charged me $98.00 a night. At first you walk into the room and it looks reasonable. You go to the bathroom and the shower head is falling off. There is an invited guest on the sink and two stained towels on the towel rack. I dared to look under the comforters from the double beds and the sheets looked clean however the mattresses had stains. I asked to be moved to another room and they refused. 10 minutes later I told the front desk t that i wanted a refund and I would look for another place to stay. They refused to refund my money and said I could leave if I wanted, but my card will still be charged. Trying to make the best of it, I stayed since I paid. Next day house keeping comes in while we are at the beach. They didn't clean the floors, or the shower, much less the toliet. I had to go thru bar b q bones and sauage left on the outside floor from the other guests to get to the front desk to ask for towels being that they didn't leave some either. They gave me only two and I swear they were the same stained ones I had from the night before only folded up. They didn't refil the toliet paper dispenser either. Thank God there was the blue Marlin down the street where I could get some more. I finally talked to managment and he claimed that I have been the first to complain about his motel and he had people lined up at the door willing to pay $200.00 a night just to get in. I find that hard to believe being that La Quinta was charging $137.00 a night and is much more luxuarious. To sum this up, don't try to save a few extra dollars make that extra expense and stay at a good place. Your kids are worth it. Good Luck!
