Born and raised in the upper Midwest, Dr. Jones pursued his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Jones obtained his medical degree from New York University in New York City followed by internship in Medicine and Ophthalmology at the University of Utah. Dr. Jones then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Utah. Realizing that the Midwest provided him the best setting to practice medicine, he returned to the area to offer the latest advances in ophthalmology. Dr. Jones’ practice interests include advanced cataract extraction techniques, new IOL technologies and novel prosthetic devices designed to assist complicated or unusual cataract surgeries. Dr. Jones has further expertise in the clinical and surgical management of glaucoma. Dr. Jones’ personal interests include skiing, hiking, mountain biking and digital photography. He has a functional ability to speak Spanish and is in the process of learning Chinese.
