NEdEx for Wellness assists in lifestyle enrichment through nutrition education and/or exercise consultations. Programs are designed for individuals and/or groups. Services provided are: general health and wellness nutrition education, nutrition education for weight loss; nutrition for individuals with medical conditions such as a history, or family history, of cardiovascular disease and diabetes; nutrition education for individuals with eating disorders; and sports/performance nutrition education. Programs are tailored to meet the needs of the individual. Topics include, but are not limited to: an introduction to the five food groups; portion sizing, calorie awareness; dealing with feelings, dealing with celebrations; dealing with other people; dining out; weight maintenance; learning to eat again and dealing with the fear of weight; Sports specific nutrition education for off-season, in-season and pre-competition training. Special features Clearing the pantry; cooing in-home demonstrations; restaurant visits; grocery shopping; menu planning; walks and talks.
