Curl Up & Dye

I made an appointment for my hair trial sometime in May. I live out of town but chose this salon because it was in the town I was getting married in. We drove there and I realized I'd forgotten my hair extensions for the trial which I needed so first thing the next morning I called to change my appointment because someone was bringing my extensions to 11am because they said they had an opening at that time. I came in at that time and my stylist was not there. I then waited another 52 minutes until she finally showed up. She was hung over, and fighting with another girl in the salon because apparently she was making out with some guy too much and made the other girl in the salon walk home. I brought in a picture with step by step instructions of how to do my hair the way I wanted it for the wedding, she decided not to put my extensions in despite the fact that my hair was not long enough, took ten minutes, did nothing even remotely close to what was in the picture and then charged me $30. (My timing here is completely accurate as I left the salon by 12:10 and she was fighting with the other girl in the salon for eight minutes, something which I was keeping track of because I was annoyed). I left obviously unhappy and later called the manager who told me she wished to keep my business (all 5 of my bridesmaids) and offered to let my hairstylist (who by then I had chosen to come up from my hometown to do my hair because she would do it the way I wanted) have a chair there for us. I agreed but to be sure my sister decided to make an appointment the day before my wedding to make sure that my bridesmaids hair would look good. She forgot about HER Friday appointment (we never received a reminder or a phone call) and arrived promptly on the day of my wedding to find a horrendous note on the door stating that because she did not show up for her appointment they had assumed we were not going to come and that we had wasted their time by making them wait for 20 minutes that day. We scrambled to find other appointments to find a facebook status on their page saying that they were "enjoying themselves at the rodeo" where my mother in law decided to comment and state that she was glad they were enjoying themselves since they had left an entire wedding party hanging. The owner then stated that it was our fault because my sister forgot about her appointment (something which they never called to remind us for which is something that my regular hair stylist does especially when there is more then a month between when I make the appointment and when it actually is, and had she called we would have let her know we definitely wanted our appointments) and that I wasted precious time with her children (again, solved by a simple phone call) and that it was karma and other nonsense about how terrible of a person I was and how she was in no way sorry. I would not touch this salon with a ten foot pole.
