McCarthy Flowered Cabs

I just got a shuttle to the airport, which was 10 minutes away. The cab driver asked if I was informed that it was cash only, I told him no.

We get in his car, and no meter is running. I get there (again, 10 minutes away) and ask how much I owe him. He tells me $35. I asked how he calculated that, and he said that's what the person at hotel should have told me it was.

What a joke.

They're great, I love cars smelling of urine showing up an hour after dispatch says "be there in 15 minutes" & have a driver just none stop cussing. I don't mind the language, but it'd be nice to have SOME professionalism

Dirty smelly drivers never help with groceries always rude never call them they are aweful. Call Yellow Cab drivers and dispatchers are polite and clean and are professional not like McCarthy

Always a bad experience. From taxi's talking about placing bets with their credit cards to playing Hee haw with the Phuck around gang....its a joke!

Busiest night of the year for cabs... you would think that there would be some kind of system in place. Just because they are the only ones in the area doesn't mean you can be mean and nasty!! It's the holidays and you provide a service!!! I'm not going to call back when I'm ready and then never know how long you would wait. I would rather be DD and drive myself.

I called them to take me to the bus station ( called an hour and 30 minutes early because i knew they werent reliable) and they never answered not once. I even had my sister call from a different number and they never answered. I ended up missing my bus because of it. This place is literally crap but its the only cab service.

Rip Off. We are well traveled couple. I called for pricing from our hotel to the Scranton, PA Cultural Center. I was told about 12.00. Quick service, driver was nice. It was almost exactly $12.00. We tipped and left. We called for return pick up. This time it was $19.00. Oh, sorry, you can go through town which is shorter but slower or the driver took the highway which is quicker but longer. Gee, guess which one the driver chose without us knowing. This was told to me AFTER I called to explain. Also NO ONE mentioned at 20% out of city surcharge???what's that. We were in Dunmore PA. So quite a difference in coming and coming to the same place. Very dishonest.

They are EXTREMELY rude at dispatch. And 70% of the time, they don't even answer the phone. Somebody else really needs to open another cab company in Scranton.

although the cabs are usually fast the dispatcher is rude and unprofessional. I waited for a cab for 30 min and when I called he said one had been there 15 minuet ago. I know for a fact know cab came and when I told him that we had been waiting for over 15 minuets he yelled at me said do the math and when I responded with excuse me thats extremely rude he hung up on me. When my friend called back he was rude once again and couldn't have a cab to us for another 20 minuets. I plan on filing a complain and do not plan on using this cab service again.
