Pregnancy
Breast Reduction. Following pregnancy and childbirth, it’s very common for the breasts to swell a couple of sizes, causing you to experience the many problems associated with heavy breasts, including physical pain and emotional distress. When this occurs, a reduction as part of your mommy makeover can restore your breasts to their more manageable pre-pregnancy size.
Labor and Delivery
The vaginal area sometimes undergoes undesirable changes with aging or pregnancies. Thinning and loss of firmness of the outer labial folds and loss of firmness and padding of the vaginal walls are common complaints. In addition, there is the occasional poorly repaired childbirth tear that further relaxes vaginal support. We have expanded our use of fat grafting to improve the results of labiaplasty. By re-injecting fat into the labia area, we are able to increase the volume of the areas that have deflated or that were not originally well proportioned. In the first part of the procedure, fat is extracted from an available site, most often the lower abdomen, and is deposited into the thinned out or deflated outer labia folds and sometimes the vaginal wall. The effect is firmer support surrounding the inner folds, and the creation of a more youthful-looking as well as a functionally improved vaginal texture. This procedure often leads to increased sexual satisfaction for both partners as a result of the firmer and thicker vaginal wall and a more erotic appearance.

Christian Drehsen, MD, was born in Belgium, and received his medical degree at the Free University of Brussels. From there, he moved to the United States where he received training in general surgery, followed by comprehensive training in all fields of plastic surgery at the University of Louisville, Kentucky under the direction of Dr. Leonard Weiner. He also studied hand surgery under the world-renowned hand surgeon Dr. Harold Kleinert, and in microsurgery with direction from Dr. Robert Ackland. During his residency at Morton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Dr. Drehsen kept close contact with the burn unit where he developed strong pediatric skills.

Reconstructive Surgery
Nose surgery, also called Rhinoplasty, is a surgical procedure performed to reshape the inner and/or outer structures of the nose. Nose Surgery
Nose surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Most work is done through the inside of the nose so that there are no visible scars. Following surgery, the nose is bandaged and the eyes may be black and blue for one week. While nasal humps are often the reason for nose surgery, a full or rounded nasal tip alone can be an indication for a rhinoplasty procedure.
Breast Surgery
More than 50% of Dr. Drehsen’s breast surgery work is dedicated to correcting or revising other breast surgeries. One of the most common problems, especially in active women, is lateral displacement, where implants shift to the side, creating a significant ‘gap’ between the breasts. Dr. Drehsen has pioneered a brilliant procedure for fixing the gap by placing new implants under the fascia (the firm fibrous layer of the pectoral muscle), instead of under the ‘moving’ pectoral muscle. Combining this placement with a possible vertical or periareolar lift provides internal support and breast uplift, giving a firm and appealing position for the breast implant. With Dr. Drehsen’s unique breast revision technique, you can again enjoy an active, physical lifestyle!
Otoplasty
While protruding ears correction is usually performed in childhood to prevent bullying and self-consciousness,some degree of this flaw can persist in adulthood or worsen as one ages. No wonder that requests for adult ear tucks are not rare at the Clinique. This procedure can be conducted under local anesthesia in our surgical suite with very modest discomfort. The recovery is less than a week but precautions is emphasized regarding rough activities for 5 weeks
Lip Augmentation

Chin Augmentation
Clinique of Plastic Surgery & Laser Institute medical director Dr. Christian Drehsen, M.D. performs this procedure by inserting a half moon shaped implant made of solid silicone or other biocompatible materials against the chin bone through an under the chin or intra-oral (through the mouth) incision. Chin augmentation is often performed under local anesthesia and recovery lasts only a few days.
Forehead Lift
Cheek implant surgery usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes. An incision will be made either inside your upper lip or your lower eyelid. A pocket is then formed and an implant is inserted. Sometimes cheek implant surgery is done at the same time as another procedure such as a facelift, forehead lift, or eyelid surgery, in which case the implants may be inserted through incisions made for those procedures.

Chemical Peels
