Overall
Don't go to Olive Crest to Adopt.

Reunification (reuniting the children with their previously abusive parents) is EVERYTHING.

Therefore, they have a huge need for foster parents, and almost no need for adoptive parents. The problem is, they won't tell you that.

IN MY OPINION, they will, in short, draw you in with adoption, and try and get you to switch to foster care, and -- if you don't switch -- squeeze you out by bullying.

This is -- at BEST -- amoral, and quite possibly illegal.

When your assigned Social Worker comes to your home, MAKE her treat you with respect. Take notes, write down direct quotes, and date them.

If she bullies you, take your notes directly to her supervisor. Go all the way to the top.

Be aware, though, that upper management knows, already. The pressure to get foster parents in to the system and push adoptive parents out is coming from the top down, and it is enormous.
