General Info: Sanford Public Works Department is governed by the city of Sanford, Fla. The department has various divisions, such as administration, street, fleet, building maintenance, health, storm water and parks and grounds maintenance division. Its street division provides various services, including structure demolition, brick street rehabilitation, tree trimming and removal, pothole repairs, materials hauling, heavy equipment services and operations, grading and repair, road construction and stripping and sidewalk alley maintenance services. The department s storm water services include drainage construction, street sweeping, planning and design drainage structures, cleaning and maintenance of drainage structures, slope mowing, soil testing and geotechnical services. Its parks and grounds maintenance services include maintenance and renovation of play equipment and facilities in city parks, nursery facility maintenance, cemetery management and rental of park facilities. The department is located in Sanford, Fla.
