Overall

I went here for outpatient rehab on my lower back. It was a COMPLETE waste of time and incredibly expensive. I had two sessions that totaled less than 30 minutes combined. I never even changed out of my work clothes. They even joked that I may want to wear yoga pants (I'm a man) because they were going to show me some yoga stretches in a future session. I stopped after two sessions. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone!!!

I was in a major auto accident...

I was in a major auto accident in '09 in which I suffered a traumatic amputation of my left leg, just above my knee. I also suffered 3rd degree burns on my back and arms and was comatose for 3 months. I was transferred to Warm Springs from University Hospital due to the fact that, shortly after they stabilized me (in a coma) they moved me from level one trauma, down to level two. My care was also downgraded (ex. a few skin grafts were ripped from my back in the process of a bed transfer using sheets. One nurse (God bless her) spoke to my family and advised them to move me ASAP, and that I was not going to receive the care I needed. I had a very nice commercial ins. policy, so UH liked having me there so the transfer wasn't easy. In any case, the staff at WS was absolutely phenomenal. I can assure you that my injuries required around the clock care, I was in WS's care for a total of 22 months and have not one complaint. I visited everyone on my floor in my wheelchair, as I have a hard time laying idle, and everyone was very well taken care of. I saw no unprofessional behavior whatsoever. They also have an in-house wound care center, I spent many hours in there just talking to the wound care staff while my burns were tended to, they were some of the best people I've ever met. For being such a tragic experience, I made some beautiful memories, that I wouldn't trade for the world.

My father was just removed fro...

My father was just removed from this "rehab" facility after only 24 hours of hell. He was in there for spinal surgery rehab. Once we saw what this place was all about we pulled him out immediately.

Across the hall from him ( and it was ONLY the two of them in the entire wing so it's not as if it was a busy night) was an elderly man. He was most likely in his mid-80's. The older man was calling for a nurse for hours. He needed help to the restroom. The nurse repeatedly told him someone would be there soon. 6 hours later, the poor thing was found sitting on the edge of his bed, hunched over his walker, sound alseep with a massive puddle of urine on the floor below him.

Completely unacceptable!! This place is staffed with people who are not trained propertly and just don't give a damn.

Please, before you check anyone into this place PLEASE do your homework and look into other options. As far as I'm concerned they shouldn't be in business are are stealing hard earned money from families looking for help.
