PEHP, also known as Public Employees Health Program is a nonprofit, self-funded trust. Established in 1961, it offers employee benefits plans for individuals in Utah. The trust administers the Children's Health Insurance Program (C.H.I.P.), which serves more than 177,850 individuals. It offers employee term life, accidental death and dismemberment coverage plans. The trust provides fraud identification training sessions for its staff members. PEHP provides coverage for prescription drugs and injectable medications through its pharmacy network. The trust s PEHP Optimal Health program focuses members with coronary artery and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. PEHP is a division of the Utah Retirement Systems
