Very disappointing, no seasoning on this chicken. I will never go here again. Sorry...I wasted gas and time to go to this hole in the wall,
long lines, crazy waits, BUT this is truly INCREDIBLE fried chicken!!
prices are great & it is worth the trip everytime
Man you gotta try Hodak's chicken, it's to die for, I have been eating there for over 40 years. Whenever I return to STL it is a must do. It's a St. Louis thang. If you don't like their chicken your probably not from here, but then I don't like Motza in NYC. We all have an opinion. If you do like their chicken bless your heart.
Upon walking in to Hodak's, do not expect to be greeted by a smiling hostess. Actually, don't expected to be greeted at all. The bartender did not acknowledge us and several waitress stepped around us. We stood for several minutes before a patron told us where we could be seated. After a long wait in line, a surly waitress showed us to our table. Unsurprisingly, there was no servers in the vicinity. Our waitress finally showed up and actually (gasp!) apologized for our wait and asked to take our drink orders. We'd had plenty of time to look at the menu so we placed our food order as well. The food was pretty good but not worth the hassle. The management at Hodak's needs to realize that customers should be treated well instead of as a nuisance.
Hodaks serves the very best fried chicken period. I recently visited the restaurant for the first time and I was in shock. I actually had low expectations but I was certainly proven wrong. Great food for a good price!!
The greatest fried chicken in st. louis without question.
Great food. Great prices. We go there every year for my husbands and mines birthday's. They offer a free meal on you birthday. I tell everyone about Hodack's.
The food here is always good. They will be the restaurant of choice for our Christmas luncheon this year.
