Bella Bridal & Formal Wear opened its doors on July 27, 2004. The owners, Sandy & Patrick Ryan, reside in St. Charles with their two little girls Sara & Emily. It is truly a family owned business.Since the wedding of Princess Diana to Prince Charles in 1981, Sandy has dreamed of owning her own bridal shop. She was a teenager with a strong inspiration. Ever since that day, July 29, 1981, Sandy was fascinated with bridal. Upon graduating from Palatine High School in 1983, Sandy attended Northern Illinois University and graduated with a degree in Fashion Design. Many years were spent designing and sewing bridesmaid and bridal gowns to assist in the college tuition.Summer breaks were spent working at local bridal shops. Upon graduating from Northern in 1987, Sandy followed her dream to Orlando Florida where she worked at a bridal shop and at Walt Disney World for the summer. After graduating from College, Sandy pursued other business jobs to gain knowledge of the business from a different angle. She received an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 1986. The many years of experience has enabled her to know the industry inside out.The summer of 2004 was spent building the shop of Sandy's dreams. She worked tireless hours with construction workers, her mother, and other family members doing a lot of the work herself. Sandy had a vision and it has allowed a lifetime of dreams to be fulfilled. Bella Bridal & Formal Wear is located on the West side of St. Charles, on the Northeast corner of Rt 64 & Randall Rd.The future holds many more special events, whether it is a wedding, anniversary, or company function. All events and customers are equally important to us. We offer the areas largest selection of wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and special occasion dresses as well as tuxedos to rent or purchase. Our goal is to be a mainstay in the community and to service our customers to the point where we exceed their expectations.Bella Bridal & Formal Wear is truly a business of passion.
