Doolittle Kennels

If I could give minus stars I would. As in the review above, my 2 small dogs were housed in a large crate in the breezeway where there was no ventilation. The owner assured me this area was air conditioned. Upon going to pick up my little guys, she said she was sorry, the air conditioner had just broke down. It was unbearably hot in there! My dogs cowered on the floor in the backseat of my car all the way home, took a couple days before they acted normal. I don't know what went on there but I take them to another kennel I really checked out and they love it!

I took my two small dogs there for an overnight stay, sight unseen. (not a good idea) I was impressed with her colorful and cute advertisements in a local coupon- paper publication. So, when I was suddenly invited for an overnight engagement, I thought I'm sure it will be fine. (their advertisement says 'vet recommended') She put my two dogs together in a large crate that was literally just in some breezeway type room off of the garage. It was enclosed and everything, but this was not built as a kennel area. She does have kennel-cages just out back where she keeps her great danes.

When I picked my dogs up less than 24 hrs later, I was charged for 2 days, since it wasn't before 10am or something to that effect.( I would have been fine with 1/2 days charge, at least. It was 2:00) My dogs went straight home and into the bathtub, since they smelled less fresh than the day before.

LAST SUMMER (SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO POST THIS!) I BOARDED MY TWO TOY POODLES HERE. I WAS REALLY WORRIED ABOUT THEM, BUT WAS TOLD I COULD CALL OR VISIT ANY TIME. WHEN VACATION WAS OVER, MY DOGS WERE HEALTHY AND HAPPY. IN FACT THEY WERE BEING PLAYED WITH WHEN WE SHOWED UP TO GET THEM. THEY WERE CLEAN AND WELL FED. I PLAN ON USING THIS SAME KENNEL THIS SUMMER!! PRICING WAS ALSO REASONABLE!!
