Total Action Against Poverty is a nonprofit community action agency located in Roanoke, Va. The organization provides support services in administration, accounting, personnel management, grant writing and private fundraising. It develops new programs to meet the needs of individuals living under the line of poverty. Total Action Against Poverty offers a variety of agency public relations materials, including annual reports, brochures and other publications. The organization also administers client tracking software and provides technical assistance for program components. Its housing and community development component offers more than 10 programs that include property management and rehabilitation and service programs. Total Action Against Poverty s Families in Transition programs include domestic violence and housing and support services for the homeless. The organization s Head Start program serves approximately 800 students up to the age of 5.
