Sandy started Longacre Benefits Group in December 2001 by acquiring a block of group health business from Morris Temple Financial Services (MTFS). Prior to starting her own insurance agency, Sandy worked for MTFS as a Sales Executive for six years focusing on employee benefits. In addition, Sandy has a strong background in employee benefits through her work at other insurance agencies and companies. In order to enhance her knowledge of the business, Sandy earned her Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Registered Employee Benefit Consultant (REBC) designations in 1995 and 1996, respectively, through the American College. She also obtained her Health Insurance Associate certification from HIAA in 1992. Sandy is actively involved in the legislative process both State and nationally through her involvement in her industry association—the Texas Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU) and the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). Sandy has been recognized as a leading producer by NAHU for over 10 years. Experience, knowledge and industry involvement have enabled Sandy to have a successful career in the insurance field.
