I absolutely dig what ikea sells... more so when I was younger and on a tighter budget. I needed a couple of things and placed an online order. It literally took them a week to ship these three items and when I called their customer support line, the recording simply said "we are experiencing higher than normal call volumes and can't help you now," and was disconnected.

If you need dirt cheap house stuff and can handle the hassle of going through the ikea maze, then you do what you've go to do. But any company that takes a week to ship an order and doesn't properly stock their phones has some operational issues.

Would I order from them again?? No...

Nightmare like experience with Kitchen install. They missed first install date then they called 2 days before install to say cost would be 30% more than my signed agreement with them. Then on install date the boss that I had to wait for was 2.5 hrs late as I missed work.

Even if you don't like to shop, this is a fun place to walk around and then have a cheap meal.

When we need new furniture, IKEA is one of the first places we go. The furniture is sturdy, fashionable, and reasonably priced. There is a large variety of items and the store is fun to walk through. There is a "Kid zone" where you can drop your potty-trained kids off for playtime while you shop and a restaurant should your shopping trip extend into mealtime. The only drawbacks are that the furniture does not come assembled and you have to do it yourself.
