Leap & Bound Academy

This is the 3rd Pre-school that we tried and we will not be looking any further. We absolutely love this school. The first thing I noticed during my tour was that the teachers had absolute control over their classrooms without any yelling or mass hysteria whatsoever. The teachers were sitting at tables with the kids and the kids were actually paying attention to the lesson. This was huge for me because we had just taken our son out of a school in Manhattan Beach because the teachers were constantly yelling at the kids to get them to be quiet or sit down, etc. The second thing that impressed me was their 'rotating' classroom structure. I love that each room is dedicated to a specific subject and the kids get to go to all the classrooms instead of being stuck in the same room day after day with the same things. I think the focused classrooms really helps them to 'dig in' to each subject. I think the movement after 30 minutes also helps them to refocus and get a little energy out. I was a little uneasy at first with the fact that my little guy (he was 2 at the time that we enrolled him) would be on the playground at the same time as the bigger kids. But I can honestly say that after watching them playing outside my worries completely vanished. The teachers are spread out in a way that the kids are fully supervised and I can honestly say that in the year that he's been there I've never witnessed any real aggression on the playground. And because the kids are all outside together all of the teachers get to know all of the kids instead of only being responsible for their own students.



Now for the really important stuff...The teachers are AMAZING and my son is learning so much and having so much fun learning it. Yes this school is very focused on academics but it never feels stuffy or stringent. He learns while he's having fun. The projects that they use to teach are not just coloring or basic projects. They are hands on manipulative projects that he learns while doing. I'm amazed at the stuff that he learns here. I'm so comfortable leaving him in their capable hands. I'm truly grateful for this school and the dedication and inspiration that comes from these teachers!

I can't express how proud I am of our child. Leap and Bound Academy is safe, clean, and offeres an incredible education for our children. All of the teachers are really brite, kind, and offer a FUN curiculum for the children to grow. As a parent I find comfort knowing my child is being well cared for. Kids are like a sponge and this is a true academic school with all the fun of coloring and playing out side. Children are exposed to different cultures, languages, and music. We are very happy to have such a GREAT school for our children.
