lift repairs = boat damage

Overall
Poor customer service

I used marine contracting group to extend my dock and build me a boat lift 10 years ago. I was happy with the work.last year my boat needed to be re-powered.I called them back to service the lift and replace any parts that were questionable.
Marine contracting did not inform me of any adjustments or changes to the boat bunks. When my boat returned, it was placed on the lift. I did not realize the hull of the boat was resting on the metal cross beams, not on the boat bunks. The transducer caught on the metal beam, ripping a hole in the bottom of the boat.I contacted marine contracting, they said I should have called them first, and will take no responsibility to the damage to my boat. After having the boat repaired, I called them multiple times to get the lift adjusted for my boat. Because I had to be in town, dates we're limited, It took 3 months to get the technicians out to the lift and get it adjusted properly. That only happened after a day I had on the calendar for over a month was a no-show by Marine contracting. I would think that finishing this job and make me a happy customer would be their number one priority.

Overall
New dock with adjacent boat lift.

I needed a dock for my two catamarans. The new dock has bridge quality prestressed cement pilings with a epoxy coated rebar with spacing of about a foot apart. As an engineer I am sure this dock will be around for the next several owners. They trimmed it out with piles on about six foot centers wrapped with heavy plastic to keep the barnacles down.A good crew plus quality materials for a great dock.
