In operation since 1973, the Olentangy Environmental Control Center is a wastewater treatment facility that has a capacity of more than 5 million gallons daily. The center serves the Olentangy basin area in Ohio. It is managed by the Delaware County Regional Sewer District, which also operates discharge wastewater treatment facilities. The district, established in 1969, is responsible for providing sanitary sewer improvement solutions for residents. It offers on-call solutions for emergency conditions 24 hours a day, as well as manages Alum Creek Water Reclamation Facility, which was founded in 2002 and has a treatment capacity of over 10 million gallons daily.
