Coventry Theatres

The theatre is not Maintained well. It's dirty and the seats are uncomfortable. Every single time I've been there one of the employees walks through the theatre while the movie is playing and tells people to put there feet on the floor. The Regal in oaks and the movie tavern in Collegeville are nicer theatres and they would never rudely interrupt your movie like that. This theatre is not even worth $2.

The prices are great, it is close to our homes, not real crowded and it was clean.

My wife and I chose Carmike Cinemas to watch Gran Torino, an excellent movie. Our chief reason for choosing Carmike over the next closest theater, Regal in Oaks, was cost. Upon arriving to purchase tickets with our Visa card, we were informed that Carmike does not take Visa and that we must complete a PIN driven transaction with a debit card. Shocking since the Visa logo was clearly displayed. Additionally, a .99 fee would be added for each time we used the debit card; a fee to purchase tickets, a fee at the snack bar. We did choose to purchase but made a few more observations; Carmike has a limited selection of snacks, does not have enough restroom facilities, played pre-movie commercials way to loud, had an entire row in the theater blocked off due to a leaky roof, and generally does not maintain a clean facility. Carmike Cinemas could have made our experience better by 1. Accepting VISA as advertised, 2. Having a few more places for women to use the restroom to reduce the wait time, 3. Lowering the volume on commercials, and 4. Replacing the stale popcorn filling the entire front middle section of the snack counter display case with a selection of.....wait for it....SNACKS. Our experience at Carmike was huge disappointment. If we had known that the savings on ticket price would have been eaten up by ATM charges, or that the facility was so substandard, we would have chosen Regal. We will not be choosing Carmike Cinemas again.

Cheap movie prices, but the snacks are really expensive. Small, not the cleanest but it's still worth your time. Don't make it a first date place
