We have been clients of Elite since September of 2018. They were referred by our real estate agent and we were initially happy with the service they provided.

Over the last year, their customer service has decreased sharply. It started with little things like techs showing up without appointments and claiming they called and/or text us even though we had no missed calls or text messages. Annoying, but I was unwilling at that point to do the leg work to find a new provider. The final straw was when we ended up with rodents in our attic due to a missing vent cap. Elite provided a one-year contract for $850. We were originally told they would use high tech traps that would alert them as soon as the trap was sprung When they showed up on the morning of Friday, September 3 to set the trap, Elite brought standard (not high-tech) traps with the explanation that they had problems with the trap provider. My husband heard the trap spring Friday morning. Elite did not come back until Tuesday, September 7th even though they said they would be back on Monday. If they did not plan to work the holiday Monday, the trap should have been checked by Saturday.

The rodent was left STEWING in the Florida heat for four days. Our house REEKED so bad of decaying animal matter that it was almost uninhabitable. I was left to put out bowls of vinegar and bowls of cleaning solution to ty and cover the scent. Even with wearing a mask (including when we went to bed) the stench was horrible, caused headaches and nausea and was off putting to our dogs. When they finally came out to pick up the trap Tuesday (9/7) they refused to apply a sanitizer or deodorizer. I emailed and text several messages to the office and the office manager. The snippy response I received from the office manager was that they tried to call me twice that morning. Unfortunately, some of us have jobs where we cannot drop everything to take a phone call. Fast forward to Thursday (9/9) the technician came out to check the trap and let my husband know that they are “busy with big jobs”. After that he had the nerve to ask my husband for a bag to put the trap in. If they are so busy with big job, they should not accept “small jobs.

My emails to the office manage and the owner of the company expressing my dissatisfaction with the level of service we were provided have gone unanswered. We are obviously not big enough of a contract for them to be worried about our business, so I have cancelled our service. Elite Inspection might want to consider changing their name to Mediocre Inspection because they are not providing an elite level of service and are obviously unconcerned with client satisfaction.
