Avoid this company. Worse leasing company in the metroplex. First, they will nickel and dime you for everything!!!!! And I mean, everything. I lived in one of their rental properties for 6 years and was billed for every single maintenance call I ever had to make. ONE week after moving into my rental property, I noticed the dishwasher, refrigerator (ice maker), and garbage disposal wasn't working properly. It took First Choice 10 days to get someone out to fix the issues (they are ridiculously slow at responding to maintenance requests). Then they had the audacity to bill ME several hundred dollars for the broken appliances, even though these appliances was broke before I even moved in. I refused to pay; however, when I moved out (6years later), they deducted that service call and appliance repairs from my security deposit. Unbelievable!!!Three years after living there, there was an issue with the air conditioning. It took them 4 days to respond (and it was in the middle of July). Then they tried to bill me for that!!!! Anytime you need them, they are slow to respond and they never take ownership or financial responsibility for ANYTHING. I took excellent care of my rental property, as if I owned it myself. I always kept it clean and the yard manicured. I even received the "Yard of the Month" award 4 times from the HOA we were apart of. We took excellent care of our property. I even invested my own money into the landscaping, the fence that was falling over that they would never send someone out to fix, and a new $400 screen/glass door for the front of the house. They couldn't have asked for a better tenant, but yet, when it came to moving out and getting my security deposit back, they even tried to deduct $500 for ridiculous crap (such as new batteries in the fire alarms, new light bulbs for the bathrooms, lawn fertilized, etc.). If you do decide to lease a property through this company....just be prepared to pay for anything and everything that goes wrong with the property (no matter what they tell you up front, you WILL BE CHARGED....I PROMISE). And be prepared to be scammed out of your security deposit when it comes time to move out. Oh, and be prepared to have little, to NO COMMUNICATION, when you need to get a hold of them. They are horrible at getting back to their clients. Be prepared to have to make multiple calls before someone will call you back.RENTERS BEWARE! This company is a SCAM.

THE WORST management company I've ever dealt with (as a renter). They are extremely dishonest! It's such a shame!! The house was in crappy (unsanitary) condition when we moved in and every appliance was broken and the yard was a mess. There was evidence of water damage everywhere and pipes were rusted. She said "no problem just make a note". Well I went out of my way to have the house professionally cleaned and it looked 1000% better than when I moved in. I am a very clean person. The house in Crowley had bugs and rats but they are so greedy that they made up a bill with false claims--total nonsense so they could pocket the deposit. We also spent a lot of time cleaning the garage. It's Typical that they have no conscience. I wonder how they would feel if they were on the other end. I plan to take them to court. The manager lived to far too even perform the inspection she didn't want to come because of traffic.
Horrible customer service. I wish this company would act ethical. My husband and I are requesting proof of documentation of that they charged and they won't provide it to us.
I've only been a resident for a month and so far so good. ALL of the maintenance personnel are great and they go beyond the call of duty.....at least they have for us. Again, it's only been a month so I'll be back as time goes by to see if anything has changed.
Lisa Parrish is the person I was working with!! She over promised and completely under delivered. I told her what was on my background and she said.."No problem, you should get approved"!! She never mentioned there would be a background check..There was and because of my dwi's I was declined and was out $100. She was very misleading and just left me hanging when I was not approved by the apartments she sent me to...
I did not have a good experience with Lindsay Ford Reyes at First Choice Realtors and would not recommend working with her. She does not keep her word and is unethical. I just wish I had read her online reviews before signing a contract with her! Buyers beware of this agent!
Lindsay is extremely dishonest and unethical. I would avoid doing any type of business with her in its entirety. She will lie to get you to sign a lease then go back on her word adding additional costs to the consumer. She will not fix dangerous items on the property that you are renting from her. Do yourself a favor and avoid this agent.
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Cindy and Joseph Spurlock to sell our home. This team of realtors was rapid in all responses, always available to answer questions, and gave first-rate advice. I highly recommend the Spurlock team to anyone to guide them through the selling process.
I moved in to La,Costa with my 10 pound poodle on a Saturday. On that day I left the apartment several times for short periods of time to go to Target etc. . On Sunday I stopped by the office and my neighbor complained that my dog barked. It is a pet "friendly" neighborhood. . So... I was surprised to hear a complaint. I have traveled extensively for work and I have never had a complaint about barking. I worked 8 hours Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday the office left me a note saying I had to handle the barking immediately or else pay a large fee. My dog lived in the apartment 5 days. The office refused to gove me back my pet deposit, pet fee or reduce the 10 extra dollars a month. They are unprofessional, condescending and rude. I'll never live in a place associated with la costa again. I move every 3 months. They could Have made a lot of money from me and my recommendations to other business associates.
Earlier review written in error - I have no issue to report regarding this business. We did list with Ms. Spurlock and have not concluded at sale at this time.
