        Situated in the heart of Southeastern Minnesota in Plainview, Zabel Seeds is a multi-generational family farm and seed business. We produce seed locally grown on our own farm, as well as with contract growers. Zabel Seeds is the second largest producer of oat seed in Southern Minnesota and largest producer of Royal barley in the world. We continue to adapt to the ever-changing seed industry, but remain strongly rooted in publicly-developed small grains production. Zabel Seeds works with the industrys largest privately held soybean breeding company, Stine Seed, as a grower and conditioner, to be able to provide the most current cutting-edge seed genetics in corn and soybeans. Zabel Seeds, through its affiliation with Alforex Seeds, Legacy Seeds, Saddle Butte Ag, Inc. and Werner Farm Seed also carries a wide assortment of annual and perennial grasses, alfalfa and cover crops. As producers needs continue to evolve, Zabel Seeds will continue to have products to match those needs.
