I went in just to try a dress on in the dressing room to see which size I needed. I walked in grabbed the two sizes in the dress the bride chose. I asked for a dressing room and they said they couldn't accommodate me without an appointment. I explained that it was an out of town wedding and I didn't need measured or to even order through the store. I didn't need an associate, just 5 minutes to try on the two dresses so I could let the bride know which I needed. The lady said I needed to go online and schedule an appointment. I told her no need that I won't be back and hung the dresses back up and left. My friend who is in Chicago had to call corporate because of all the people in the wedding all over the country (in much bigger cities then Pineville-Charlotte) I'm the only one who was met with an issue. The lady at the desk was unsympathetic and just said "sorry we've been turning people away all weekend". The women in front of me said they made an appointment twice and still were turned away.

I wouldn't touch this store with a 10 foot pole. All of the employees were kind of rude and acted like they didn't want to help you. I had my dress ordered and to be shipped to my house. Instead of them ordering it through their website so I could get it quicker she ordered it through the register so it would go the the store then the store would ship to me. I live 2 hours away why would you not just order it through the website so it would ship directly to my house instead of going to your store first. Needless to say my dress will barely make it here on time. And I paid a $20 rush charge. If I had just ordered online myself once I knew the size I would have a lot faster and saved myself some money.
Just a great place to shop and the people are fabulous!
My friend came to visit from out of state to be a part of my dress search. Little did I know that without an appointment, I was simply a desperate commoner among the chateau de' la david consultants and their preferred appointment made 5 star a-list clients. When my 2 bridesmaids, flower girl and ring usher and myself walked in to the Pineville store, we were greeted with a "what time is your appointment?" no hello, no welcome to our store....nothing! after telling them that I was not aware that I would need an appointment, we were told that there were other customers who did make appointments that they would need to take care of first but they would try to squeeze me into a dress or two in between. hmmm.....okay, still excited about trying on a dress and they could have turned the situation around. but that's not what happened. after wandering aimlessly for about 20 minutes, I finally asked for assistance getting a dressing room to try on a dress that I liked. The response, "you can't try on a dress without a consultant." to which I replied....."okay then can I get a consultant please." I was ignored and 10 more minutes later was told that there is no one available to help me right now. I asked about how long he thought it would be and I was told, "a long time." So I asked again, "can I just try one or two dresses on by myself?" the associate said no, you need to wait or make an appointment" and then walked away. Feeling extremely discouraged, upset and let down, my bridesmaids and I left the store, myself in tears and went home. Very emotionally upsetting and unprofessional experience. I will absolutely not be working with any david's bridal because of this situation.
I am not the kind of girl that writes reviews...... However, I have read some horrible reviews of this specific location that I feel David's Bridal, Pineville could use a very POSITIVE one!!!! Let me start of by saying that from the second I stepped in the place EVERYONE was very polite and courteous. I got signed in and picked a pair of shoes to wear while trying on wedding gowns. Then my mother and I were asked to have a seat while we wait for my consultant. We waited about 5 minutes and then the wonderful Nia came up and introduced herself. We talked for a moment about my favorites and then she gave me undergarments to put on while she gathered my top 3 dresses. My number 1 favorite dress I tried on first!!!!! Big mistake!!!! It looked much better on the hanger and picture but not on me!!!! I tried on my second dress.... third, fourth, fifth so on and so on. I asked her to bring the second dress back in a size 4, as the first, second dress was a bit big and I couldn't get a feel for it!!!! She came back with "THE DRESS" in a size 4 and it fit amazing!!!! The second I stepped out and turned around and saw myself in the mirror it was total perfection!!!!!!! There it was staring back at me...... My wedding dress!!!! The dress I chose, I thought, was one of my top three's, however after looking again at my top three, Nia brought me this one that I did not even know existed. I applaud everyone involved with my shopping experience, Nia especially!!!!! This was my first experience wedding dress shopping. They made it quick and painless. I was not expecting to be buying my gown after my first trip but when it is meant to be.... It is meant to be!!!!! Ladies some words of advise, Do not disregard this place because of some poor reviews. My experience was the complete opposite!!!! Also, you have to remember that the people writing these reviews are brides. And we all know what happens when a woman becomes a bride?!? I would give them 10 stars if I could because they gave me service worth a 10!!!!
I was standing in line to try on MOB dresses and kept getting passed by. I had them ready and in my size to try on. After standing and all the employee's milling about. I handed them off to one of the employee and decided not to give them a chance. I would rather pay more for a dress to be treated better.
