Family Inn East

Save your money in your wallet and sleep in your car. This was the nastiest, broken down hole in Pigeon Forge, Tn. When we got here the girl had to do find someone to get us our keys. We were (handicapped) and placed on the 3rd floor. We were told we have an elevator. Haha. The door wouldn't unlock properly, but when we did get in there were dead bugs in the tub, sink and all around the toilet. There was junk all over the carpet. The lock on the connecting room door was broken and hanging. There were 4 of us in this room with only towels for 2 people. I had to call the front desk and ask them to send maintanance up to fix the door locks and housekeeping to clean up the bugs and carpet and give us some towels. We went out, swam in the pool and when we came back to our room and got the door unlocked we couldn't get it to close again. I called the front desk again for maintanance and they said they'd send him right up. We waited 45 mins. and finally walked all the way down to the office to tell them we couldn't go anywhere because the door wouldn't even close and asked to be given another room. My 82 year old dad had to work on this door as well so it would lock proplerly. This place is a DUMP. I gave it only 1 star because it was the least you could give it. It doesn't even deserve 1/2 star, We are very disgusted with this hotel. Never come to a Family Inn hotel again I'll tell you that.
