Service

Stay away from these people! They were terribly rude to my wife and I when simply asking about a bill. The lady who answers the phone call me an asshole when I simply said that I didn't know there was an option for email bill or mail bill. Very disrespectful and rude people! Will never go back!

Overall

We recently bought a home that needed extensive renovations. We ordered a construction dumpster from Sweetheimer, and it was delivered the next day. Over the next couple months, we filled it and needed a replacement three more times. Every time, we had an empty dumpster at our site ready to use the same day. Excellent service.

Overall

I was treated like a piece of garbage (no pun intended) by who I assume is the owner of this place, on more than one occasion.

We have had this trash service for several years. We pay our bills on time, we get our trash out the night before, we bag things properly...we are GOOD CUSTOMERS.

When a snowstorm and sub-zero temperatures hit, I tried calling Monday to see if our Tuesday pick-up would still be happening. There was an answering machine message stating that MONDAY'S service was cancelled, but they'd be back on the road when they were allowed to be again.

Tuesday they were allowed to be, so I bundled up in the dangerous temperatures and dragged our trash through waist-high drifts to the end of our hundred-meter driveway, since I left unanswered messages on their machine (the machine that still stated only about Monday's situation, nothing about Tuesday's.

No one returned my call, even after our trash wasn't picked up. Finally Wednesday mid-day they changed their message to say they were picking up Wednesday but not retroactively picking up, so my trash would have to wait a week.

I asked them in a message on Wednesday if they could please get my trash, because due to their error in not changing their machine, I had no way of knowing if they'd be picking up. no response.

Called them again Thursday, left a nice message that I needed to know if it was getting picked up, and if not, I'd drag it back until next week. That's when the fun happened.

A woman called back and from my very first "hello?" was barking at me. After I said Hello, she said "This is Sweetheimer trash, we're not picking up your trash, I don't have enough guys, so we're not coming, good bye." I asked her to please stay on the phone because I wanted to tell her they should change their messages, but she continued berating me (though I stayed pleasant) and said she had other people to call back and she's "not going to work 24 hours a day just to answer my phone call". I calmly explained I had left more than one message, and to please stop yelling at me. She said "I'm NOT raising my voice, but if you WANT to hear my raise my voice, I CAN DO IT!" I asked if I could take a few dollars off my bill for the gas they saved, you know, NOT PROVIDING THE SERVICE I PAY THEM FOR that week, and she said "Oh, sure if you want me charging you for the extra 4 weeks a year we don't charge for." I said, I didn't understand that's how it worked, I just wanted you to talk to me about it, and she said "There, I explained it, now I have to go." I was shaking by this point, and asked her why she was being so mean. She said she needed to go before she started crying. I said "But Ma'am" and she said "I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU ANYMORE!" and hung up.

A couple weeks later, after I found out Servall was cheaper AND provides bins, I called to cancel at which time she recognized my name and said I "called too much" and THEY weren't going to renew ME! Haha! That's a laugh. Then she hung up on me. It's just crazy that there is customer service like this this day in age, especially when I was nice.
