they came to check my ac unit, tell me I need a motor fan and some other part, and it will cost me about 1,400.00, so I could not let them fix my unit cus I have not have that much money, I take out the motor my self check it out and take it apart grease it and put it back, it work just fine so far for the las 2 years my total cost 7.00 for the silicon grease at ace hard where store.
This company is run by scam artists. I used the To Fix It catalog and their ad said Free service calls with repair and No travel time charges. I was billed $360 for less then 1 hour of work. I needed 2 1" pipes cut from my failed water softener and a 3" long pipe installed to bypass it. I was told IF I bought my water softener from them, I would get a break on the repair. Out comes their salesman the next day and the best he could do was a $3200 replacement with a 1 year warranty. How DARE they represent themselves as an upright business. Thanks Lowes! I got a 25 year warranty on my new water softener for $1400. I heard this company was fired by Lowe's. Dishonesty at it's best!
I called Parker and Sons this morning for some plumbing issues. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and told me the estimate would be free. The plumber came later that afternoon and asked me what the problem was. I explained to the plumber what was going on and he said he would need to do a diagnostic, which would cost $150. I told him the lady on the phone this morning said it would be free. The plumber said because he needs to go into the pipes they charge $150 to do a diagnostic. I understood why they needed to charge 250 but I still had more questions. I asked him what he thought it may be, trying to figure out how much this is going to cost me. He told me he would not give me free information and that time is money. I couldn't believe what he was saying to me in my own home and asked him to leave. The plumber for Parker and sons was so rude that I was embarrassed of his behavior. I can't believe that they see their estimates are free but when you try to ask questions on what they think it may be their response is that they will not give free information. Who says that to a potential customer? I would beware of this company, they seem to be money hungry and it's dishonest. I will never again allow Parker and Sons in my house regardless if they said they will give me a discount.
I chose Parker and Sons when it was time to have a new heat pump system installed. This turned out to be a huge mistake. The new unit purchased has issues. Excessive vibration and a lound rolling/grinding noise. During cold months the unit can only heat my home to only 70 degrees. During the winter the unit runs five hours straight without stopping. The inside temperature was 67 while the heat setting was 76. The unit has also caused an indoor dust problem. The two previous units did not have any of these issues. I had called Parker and Sons for service in the first year, the service technician said nothing was wrong with the heating issue. Even though the unit was blowing out cold air all through the house during the cold months. And insulation blanket was installed to cut down on the unit's noise issue. It did not make any change in the noise level. After four service calls with no results, I reported this to the BBB. Parker and Sons took action and did some work, but the unit worked efficiently for a few days left of cold weather, but this winter the problem has come back. The unit only blows out cold air in this winter season. I made a big mistake in trusting Parker and Sons to take care of my heat pump needs.
I cannot say enough good things about this company. My AC went out early on a Saturday monring (of course). The tempuratures outside were brutal. I called a few other companies in the valley, and either got voicemail, or they couldn't get anyone out until early evening. Parker and Son's had someone out within the hour. He was profession and courteous. When he gave me the bad news that my unit was toast, he offered to come back to my house and bring a window unit to put in my bedroom to keep us cool until they could get the new one put in. Sales person was awesome as well. And they have been back out since to take care of a few minor things. Always with a smile.
I had three different companies look at an 8 year old york unit on my home in scottsdale. They all three gave me a different diagnosis and price. Parker and Sons was the lowest price but I wasn't sure if was the accurate solution. I asked Jason Sugden the technician how he came to that conclusion and why it was different. He took the time and energy to show me what was wrong and show me their pricing which is pre-printed in a book so the prices dont come out of the air. He was the first tech I've ever encountered that actually cared enough to explain the details!! I would recommend these guys to anyone I know! Jim
I woke up on the 4th of july in a pool of sweat due to my bedroom being 80 degrees...I frantically picked up the phone trying to get someone over as I had my entire family coming over for a pool party. I called Parker and Sons and they were there within 1 hour! $380 for a new motor was pennies to pay to save my day, holiday weekend and party...Thanks Mr Parker!
I had an appointment scheduled for over 2 weeks to come by on a saturday, when I called and confirmed i was told they dont provide a service window. Im thinking what am i supposed to do stay home all day until you get to me. Basically i was told yes, that they could only provide a 20-30 minute confirmation call to ensure i was home when they were about to come. So i bit and waited 24 hours later i still havent gotten my service call confirmation. How can a business treat its customers like that?? Having a &quot;we'll get to you when we get to you mentality&quot; is absolutely pathetic. I would NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone. I called Denali services and they came that day Gee customer service who would have thought. Save your day, time and frustration dont even bother choosing Parker and Sons
My ac unit stopped working last week and I called parker and sons to fix it. They were out within the hour and put a new condenser fan motor in my unit. From start to finish the entire interaction was 3 hours (because Antonio who was really friendly and thorough- btw) had to run up the street and get the part and it only cost $400.00. I'm happy!
I had my air conditioner fixed in June, they told me if they did the work there would be no service charge, they did work and still tryed to charged the service charge,after complaining ,they did give it back. The final bill was twice the estimate, they charged $125.00 to put on a part that costs less then $10.00. I was also told that there was a one year guarntee on all work, now it is not working they will not service it because I questioned their integrity. It goes without saying if you live in the Sun Cities they feel thay can charge anything they want and get away with it.
They do not want to deal with anyone who knows anything about air conditioning as they can't get away with their overpricing.
This company needs to understand that not everyone takes everything they say as the truth. If a company states they guarntee their work they need to stand by it.
I want to thank Parker and Sons for coming out in the middle of the night to repair my bursted water heater. Billy opened a supply house, removed the water heater, installed a new one AND called a company out to dry out the water damage all in under 3 hours. Outstanding work! Thank you Parker.
I am writing this for a friend of mine, because she does not have a computer.
Parker and Sons had an advertisement stating: "we will check your Air Condition for free".
Their service Tech came out and told her that she would need a new belt for the Water Cooler. He told her it would cost over $100.00. She had asked why so much and he explained that the belt was expensive( she declined). After Parker and Sons left she went to home Depot and bought a belt for less than $5.00.
DO THE MATH.

I bought 2 Trane 13 SEER Air Conditioning systems for my restaurant in North Scottsdake from Parker and Sons and I couldn't be happier. Their service team, prices and response time are the best in valley. I recommend them every chance I get. They have been in business since the 70's and its obvious why!
$3000.00 for a 75 gallon hot water heater. Unknowing wives beware. The explaination for the high cost was "thats our flat rate". Since the install we've spoken other contractors and they agreed, this company took advantage of an unknowing homeowner by about 40%. Never again will I or my wife call this company.
I can't tell you what happened to the customer that left the last comment, but I can tell you that Parker and Sons, has been servicing my a/c and heating unit for years and I've always gotten excellent service. I just purchased a house recently and when I was informed that they also do plumbing and water service, I couldn't think of anyone else I'd let touch my plumbing. They came out and installed a water softenser and r/o system. The plumber that came out also did a free plumbing inspection to make sure I didn't have any unforseen problems (I didn't).
I would highly recommend Parker and Sons :)
