A majority of The Orcutt/Winslow Partnership s work is centered in two arenas: public institutions; elementary schools and secondary and post secondary educational campuses; and health care institutions; hospitals, surgery centers, laboratories, research facilities and long-term care facilities. The architectural firm does not use draftsmen. It only hires architectural graduates, either registered or in the pursuit of registration, to work on its client's projects. Orcutt/Winslow s projects are kept in the department that was involved in the initial process. The firm believes that the person who took the time to get to know each client and the user groups during the initial programming of the project is the best person to design and see the project through during construction. The Orcutt/Winslow Partnership is located in Phoenix.

Flooring
Lighting systems are designed to mimic the circadian rhythm so patients spending longer periods of time feel less disoriented depending on the time of the day. Wall, flooring and ceiling protection systems are designed and color coordinated to provide wayfinging throughout the unit. Nurses and staff can be assigned color bays and patients and visitors know where they are at all given times while moving throughout.

Room Additions
This school requires full architectural services for additions and renovations to their existing elementary school. These upgrades include a 3,000 square foot cafeteria expansion, a 3,000 square foot kitchen addition, and a 1,500 square foot library addition to meet the District standards and transform the existing library into a new modernized media center. These improvements will provide an innovative new environment for the next generation of students attending Thomas L. Marsalis Elementary School.
New Construction
Demolition
By shaping the 14-bed ICU addition to form a new interior courtyard, the amount of demolition was minimized. This strategic design choice helped minimize the need for extensive demolition while ensuring that occupants would have continued access to natural light. The design of the facade drew inspiration from the original facility, incorporating elements such as oversized cornices and prominent vertical elements, emphasizing the existing mid-century design.

Landscaping and Fencing

Landscaping
The first phase of Celia, the largest mixed-use residential and commercial neighborhood in the New Administrative Capital has begun construction. With an expected population of six million, this project is located in the heart of the Green River, the largest park in the world. We are responsible for master planning, architecture, and landscape design from inception through tender with an ongoing role as Design Guardian through construction phases.
Driveways
Located on an 11-acre parcel in the pristine Sonoran Desert the TSG Foundation site is surrounded by the scenic mountains of North Scottsdale, Carefree and Cave Creek Arizona. A meandering desert pavement driveway will welcome visitors to the center and provide selective glimpses of the TSG Foundation as you reach the drop-off point. Parking areas are organic in shape and well landscaped to screen them from street view, with an asphalt drive and stabilized decomposed granite or gravelcrete surface to minimize the heat island effect. A pedestrian bridge links the parking areas to the building crossing a shallow desert wash and giving visitors a time for pause and reflection as they approach or leave the building celebrating the aspect of Joy. Bicycle racks are located next to the crossing point of the bridge for best access and convenience.
