Been here over a dozen times and I have never left disappointed....food is amazing and the service is excellent !!!
We had our 20 person wedding party here and it was wonderful!!
The food was great, hot, and authentically Italian.
The entire restaurant joined us in song
wow wow wow!!!!! my family and i went to caffe valentino for easter dinner. what a lovely experience. i'm general manager at a restaurant down the shore.normally i don't give 5 stars, but caffe valentino deserves it.in food, service and overall.i highly recommend it!
my boyfriend and i love going to eat here. the specials are always delicious and interesting. this weekend we had mint fettucini (who knew this was good, but it was!) with lobster in a spicy red sauce...yummy! my boyfriend had the veal chop which also was delicious. the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
I just bought a place a couple blocks from Caffe Valentino. When I moved in, I thought, great, when I'm hungry and have no food in the house, I only have to walk a couple blocks. My first weekend in the neighborhood, my friends and I decided to try it out, because none of us had ever been there. When we got there the place was pretty busy, (which surprised me because I hadn't heard of it until I moved up the street).
Once we sat down, we were eying up the tables around us to see what they were eating. Everything looked and smelled great. We all got different stuff, and loved everything. I got Gnocchi with Red Sauce. It was clearly homemade and light. Probably the best I've ever had, and I love gnoochi. My other friend got the pasta special, which was Black Fettucini with Shrimp in a spicy red sauce. He said it was great. For dessert we had Tiramisu, also excellent. The service was friendly and accommodating. Any foodies who that haven't found this place yet, should go check it out.

Provided by Citysearchthe food and service is great a caffe valentino. my friends and i went last night and had a great evening. the specials were delicious. i started with grilled langostino, very fresh. for entree i had the red beet fettucini with jumbo shrimp in a spicy red sauce. so good. the only down side was that i ate too much and only could have a spoonful of tiramisu which was awesome. highly recommended.
My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine's Dinner and had an absolutely great time! The Valentine's menu was delicious, the service was great, and the complimentary lemoncello and chocolatecello (sp?) were fabulous! If you haven't been here yet, you must go try it out.
A group of my friends get together for dinner a few times a year. In December of 2009, we chose Caffe Valentino. It will be the last time we dine there. The caesar salad was small and bland. I had to put salt on it (I never use salt). The tomatoes on the tomato/mozzarella appetizer were not ripe and hard as a rock. My chicken marsala sauce had no flavor at all and hardly any mushrooms. Everyone was disappointed. It is a BYOB and we brought wine with us. We all had an appetizer and entree (no dessert), most prices low to mid. We ended up paying $80.00 per couple. RIP-OFF !!!!!!!

Provided by CitysearchI went to this place with a big group and had the worst time ever. They took forever, served crap, and charged us top price. I often eat at different byo restaurants in philly so I know whats around and this was by far my least favorite. Others such as La Viola as L'Angolo are much smaller but WAY MORE enjoyable. For $40 per person we were disrespected by being served a plate of mixed greens (nothing else in the salad, literally only mixed greens), penne a la vodka that tasted and looked like kraft easy mac & cheese (definitely not vodka sauce...which i know is supposed to be pinkish not orange), and for dessert...well it didn't even matter because I had lost my appetite and patience by the 3rd hour of being completely ripped off by Caffe Valentino.
I just went there last weekend for the first time, and this place is great! It's beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is very attentive. I have to say, I was shocked at how good the service was, because they were really busy. We lucked out and only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, even though we didn't have a reservation. I highly recommend this place, and next time I'll make a reservation for the weekend!

Provided by CitysearchI love this place because the food is great! We are the returning customers and always love Antonio's food (the main chef). I like his stile of cooking: grilled vegetables (perfectly cooked), no butter added to meat of fish - very important to me.

Provided by CitysearchMy boyfriend and I had reservations there for Valentines Day as well. I was really excited about the menu and the date in general. However, as we showed up to a lobby stuffed with people, the mood seemed to change. Not only were there people waiting since 7pm when we showed up for our 8pm reservations, there was no hostess as the door. After 10 minutes of deciding whether or stay or go, the host called our name (out of nowhere) we went up to the dining room feeling like we had won the lottery. Except that it took 20 more minutes to get a corkscrew and freezing cold bread. The food was ok (my medium rare filet came out like a mcdonalds hamburger and had to send it back), but the service was awful!! The waitresses walked past us multiple times, and seemed to care less whether we were enjoying ourselves or our food. We had to order our desert twice because she ""forgot"". To top it off they added 20% for UNDESERVED gratuity!! The only good thing there was the cute little old man playing the piano.
I understand it was a busy night for restaurants but I will never go back based on our experience. Just Awful!

Provided by CitysearchMy wife and I booked this place for Valentine's Day. We were excited to try somewhere new. Our reservations were for 9pm. We were seated 45 minutes late. Twenty minutes went by before anyone bothered to acknowledge that we were seated. Fortunately, I brought my own bottle opener to uncork our wine. I had to lend it to the table next to us so we could at least have a drink to celebrate. Once the food arrived, the portions were small, but that was overlooked because the food was awful anyway. At 11:45pm, I asked the manager what was taking so long for us to get our food. He just looked at me smuggly, shrugged his shoulders and said, ""Whadiya wanna do?"" Needless to say, we grabbed our things and left. The ownership of this facility should really rethink whether they should be in the restaurant business. The decor looks great and the place has a lot of potential, but the service and the quality of food have a long way to go to even be considered mediocre.

Provided by CitysearchHaving visited Italy many times, the food here is authentic and extremly fresh. Unusual and creative appetizers leave your taste buds waiting for more. Pasta was perfectly ""al dente""and pleasantly light but flavorfull. And the entrees live up to the same ,with fresh fish filleted at tableside .The ambience is relaxed but attentive, and would recomend this restaurant to anyone looking for the most authentic Italian food and atmosphere , short of being in Italy itself.

Provided by CitysearchWe were 8 dining last Saturday night; a great experience; service was wonderful; ambiance delightful. Loved the Italian music playing in the background. Appetizers were delicious...great selections. One downfall...serving 8 people dinner entrees at once may have caused the food on our platters get cold. Our food was not hot; it was luke warm. They need to work on that....it's not going to stop us from going back.....we loved it!

Provided by CitysearchJust across Washington Ave from Queen Village lies a gem waiting for unearthing. Caffe Valentino is the ""little sister"" to Valentino's (13th and Pine). However, sibling rivalry aside, Caffe Valentino's offerings are freshly prepared and wonderfully executed. Try the Italiano Antipasto. Assorted cheeses and meats served on a butcher block. The Tuna carpacchio which is paired with fresh greens with a tart and tangy vinaigrette, will dissolve on your tongue. Dinner specials abound and are always worth a try. The fish is exceptionally fresh. My personal favorite is the Veal Piccatta. Light, delicate and a true delight for the palate. The staff is intimate, charming and always there if needed. You will not be disappointed.
