Proctor Endowment Home, established in 1906, is a nonprofit retirement community offering independent units with food and shelter support. The services offered by the center include nutrition counseling, laundry, housekeeping, transportation for medical appointments and nursing care. The recreational activities offered by the center include music and bingo classes, cooking sessions, gardening, movie outings and religious programs. It offers various amenities to residents that include walking paths, fitness center, shuffleboard courts, pool tables, lounge areas, art facilities and woodworking shop. The center also provides educational programs and has a full-service library and computer laboratory with Internet access. Proctor Endowment Home provides 24-hour emergency support and is located in Peoria, Ill.
