Country Inns & Suites

We stayed at this hotel in 2005 and it was exceptional so we returned in Sept, 2008. We were shocked to find the place not dirty, but filthy!!! The door to our first room would not lock, the internet would not work and it stunk to high heavens. The night manager (who did the best with what he had to work with) moved us to an "upgrade" suite. This turned into a total joke. He had to work on the A/C thermostat to get it to work. The shuttered door to the A/C unit was covered in dust 1/4" to 1/2" thick. The tile floor in the bathroom was filthy. We covered the floor with towels in order to

walk on it without catching heaven only knows what. We sat on towels on the sofa and I scrubbed the tub before we

used it. When we went down and ask if they could spray something to freshen up the room we were handed a bottle of

something that did smell good but the fragrance was overcome by the stink after 10 minutes.



I contacted the corp. office for Country Inn and Suites. They had the manager of the hotel call me and tell me he would give us a complete refund. After many emails back and forth with Country Inn and Suites Corp. Office I still do not have the refund two months later.



I'm sure you wonder why we stayed the night. We had reservations for two nights but was told we'd loose at least one night and possible both nights (had to pay in advance to make reservation on the internet). We had driven almost 600 miles that day and just decided tomake the best of it.



I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
