Gatekeeper Management

This company, kim, in Particular, is extremely rude and unprofessional. First of all, when we moved into our home, it was FILTHY AND filled with GRIME. The cabinets and super porous countertops were horribly stained. There were dead cockroaches right on the floor as soon as you stepped inside the home. Which I ignored, as I figured the home was vacant for a while and may have got some new tenants. Never in a million years did I imaginewould turn out to be an all out INFESTATION. I quickly decided to call for pest control. They advise the "lease" states pest control is up to resident. Well, the infestation in this home, clearly explains why GAtekeeper didnt want to cover the cost. T The thermostat "gave out" somehow miraculously within a week of us being in the home. I tried to contact gatekeeper who advised that it wasnt an emergency even though we were in the dead middle of winter (jan). Therefore, My children and I, ages ranging from 2-11 were forced to freeze. a week after we moved in, Tthe HUGE bathroom vanity mirror, lacking the bracing brackets to hold it in place, came crashing down on my Sons' heads, shattered, and a large piece of glass over a foot long, impaled my son's nose. It went all the way through his nose, through the septum, piercing the bottom inside of his nose. The mirror was literally slapped to the wall with PUDDY! When I contacted the Gatekeeper/Atlanta South Rental Homes they were very dismissive, did not apologize or seem to care to take any type of incident report. that mirror could have KILLED my children due to their negligence. had fallen behind on rent and advised I was applying for and approved for rental assistance. Everytime I spoke with Kim she was very condescending, argumentative and insensitive, making fluid communication extremely difficult. This company was given definitive proof that I was APPROVED for the rental assistance and they WILL receive payment, and still decided to take me to court for eviction

My initial meeting Gatekeeper was easy. Can't ask for much more then being where you say, when you say you'll be there. Most owners want to see our properties rented out yesterday, but as time goes on we learn that "good" renters are much more important than quick renters.I have been happy with how maintenance issues have been handled.

First of all, the only reason I'm giving 1 star is because this site won't let me post without giving one. Gatekeeper is the WORST non-property management company there is! I used them for 2 years. I got constant calls when they needed money for repairs. Finally, I sent my own guy out there for a repair that they said would cost over $1,000 and he said it could be fixed for less than $100. They don't check on the property at all. Through my own fault, I didn't keep up with my rent payments. When I finally realized that I hadn't been paid in 2 months I contacted them, because they sure as heck didn't contact me. They said nonchantly that no, the rent hadn't been paid in 2 months--no, duh. They also didn't tell me the people had abandoned the property. They hadn't filed eviction papers. They allowed the property to be run down. The pool wasn't supposed to be used and it obviously was I told them I no longer wanted their service, so they went to do an exit inspection and said the house was full of drugs and porno, so they left. They didn't contact me until days later to tell me this info. They said they left the house as it was because they weren't the managers anymore. They were when all this mistreatment of my property was going on! If you're smart, you'll steer very, very clear of Gatekeeper!

I needed to find a property management group to manage my condo after I bought the perfect house a few towns over and I wasn't able to sell my old place and couldn't afford the upkeep on both. Working with Amanda was easy and she found good tenants in just a couple of weeks.

I have recommended Gatekeeper to anyone I work with that is going to be leaving the area for work but anre't planning to sell their house yet. They've worked well for me!
