Dr. Steven B. Axt joined Country Foot Care in 2016, after 34 years at his solo practice in Patchogue. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Axt was the Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital from 1993 until 2006Dr. Axt has had a very diversified practice with emphasis on diabetic foot care, foot and ankle trauma, and all phases of general foot care.Dr. Axt enjoys helping patients of all ages from a youngster whose desire is to get back on the playing field, to a senior citizen with diabetes, live a normal pain free lifestyle. Dr. Axt was an avid athlete, and enjoys treating athletes at all levels of competition.Dr. Axt received his DPM degree from Kent State University, College of Podiatric Medicine in 1980. He completed his surgical residency at Northlake Hospital in Chicago. He has been on the surgical staff of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital since 1982. He has two children; Brian an attorney, and Lindsey a Physician Assistant. He is also the proud Pops of his granddaughter Emma.Dr. Steven Axt sees patients in our Patchogue location.
