During my stay at Kindred in Pasadena, they had everything I needed and were able to tend to my needs. Even when I needed changing at night, the staff did so in such a respectful and caring manner, not once did I feel as I was a bother to them... 4 staff members I would like to personally thank…

My wife couldn't have been treated any better throughout her stay at Kindred in Pasadena!! Treatments from all staff members and health disciplines were outstanding during both day and night shifts. Our three employees that stood out for going above and beyond for us were: Loretta, Carrie, and Brandon. The housekeeping team also did a great job of keeping my wife's room very clean!Thank you all once again,Mr. Hamaker
I transferred from Bayshore Hospital by ambulance. The ride was great! Being 87 years old, I have experienced a few healthcare facilities and when I arrived at kindred I was greeted and the staff took great care of me, I was pleasantly surprised. I have a private room and it was always kept very clean. Someone came and cleaned my room daily. This facility was top notch!! I received excellent care from all of the staff; they were so professional. Armando in therapy was very nice. While he and the rest of the rehab staff were working with other people he provided humor and kept me laughing through my work out. The staff greeted me no matter where I was in the building. Wound care was great! The food was really good! I'm a vegetarian and a diabetic. I was offered a black bean patty and I'm sure it was probably good but I don't like black beans. Despite the black bean patty all my meals were balanced and my overall experience was great. I would recommend my family and friends to come to Kindred if they are in need of long-term care. The doctors were very nice and made me feel comfortable. During my stay the nursing staff was great. One of the medications I was taking caused an allergic reaction, the staff realized really fast that I was allergic; they called my doctor, and they took care of me. The wound care team took really good care of my foot. I'm very pleased with all the treatment and great care I received!!! I want to thank each and every person especially Armando; Who helped take good care of me and helped in the process of getting me well. I love this hospital. Thank you all very much!
The staff at this hospital were all professional, nice, and compassionate towards my needs. I received rock-star treatments from the moment I was admitted!! A few nurses and nursing assistants went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy while I was here, they made me laugh and put me in better spirits!! Bibi, RN and Sommer, CNA were attentive and so sweet! All of my physicians explained my treatments well and always asked how I was doing during each visit! I can't thank this hospital enough for the special care and for making me feel better.
We chose Kindred BayArea because we've been here before about 3 to 4 times. It's familiar and it's close to home and the staff is very well mannered. We transitioned from Bayshore Hospital We were greeted by Nurse Stephanie upon arrival to the hospital. She brought me sheets and pillows and the room was ready for us. It was a great transition. When we got here we had a private room. I like the fact that there are private rooms and they're upgraded. In this hospital everything looks new. I stay here night after night with my husband and the staff is great we had little to no issues. Nurse Tina explained all our medications, nurse Jackie, Stephanie, and and Penny were standouts in our eyes everyone else is really nice as well. The rehab staff was exceptional espcially Armando. and Q were excellent and always very helpful. Dr. Al, doctor Shebib's PA was very good we saw him a lot. Dr. Mullins was nice, Dr. Stein we loved him, Dr. Patel although we have our disagreements, he does a great job of taking care of my husband. Dr. Lee in physical therapy does a great job as well. I can't remember everyone's name but everyone at Kindred Bayarea was really really nice. If there's anything I have to complain about it will probably be with food service the portion sizes that we were receive were too small for my husband andthe trays were inconsistent with my husbands diet. I have to say Victor did attempt to correct the issues. Overall, we had a really nice stay and I would definitely refer family and friends to Kindred Bay Area. Thank you to all staff!
I would like to start by thanking everyone for the wonderful experience at this hospital, it surpassed all of my expectations!! I was admitted about three weeks ago for long term treatments, since I could no longer be treated at the hospital I was in. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly nursing staff and my room was extremely clean and inviting. I especially liked the fact that I had a private room and that my husband could stay overnight if he chose to. In fact there were not any visiting hour restrictions, and my husband could come and go at all times if he wanted. I recall late one evening I was feeling a bit anxious and I called for my husband in the middle of the night, he showed up and none of the staff complained. They treated him with kindness and courtesy, and he was able to stay with me and then go to work the next morning. Everyone has been excellent and extremely nice, there were certain days I had very low spirits and wasn't feeling well because I couldn't necessarily fend for myself but the staff was respectful and caring and made sure to pick me back up with words of encouragement and made me feel less self-conscious. They completely understood how I felt and did all that they could to ensure that I was in better spirits. I would definitely refer this facility to friends and family!! Even the food was great! I felt like I could participate in my own care and was kept thoroughly informed of all treatment plans.
I haven't been in admitted to a hospital in more than 35 years, so I really didn't know what to expect when I was told at San Jacinto Methodist Baytown that I was being transferred to a hospital in Pasadena... When I first arrived my room was ready and the nurse greeted me and provided me with the food tray, I really enjoyed the food it was so wonderful, It did not taste like hospital food at all and since I hadn't been in a hospital setting in so long I didn't know hospital food could taste this good! All staff treated me wonderfully, they all went above and beyond for me. I especially love that I had my own private room, I was able to have lots of visitors stay with me and they were all very comfortable. All coordinating staff from the doctors to my case manager to the whole nursing, wound care and rehab teams have been very informative of my treatment plans and have been caring towards my recovery process. A few employees that stood out were Esperanze - CNA, Trisha, Tracey and Armando with Rehab, they all were extremely kind and really nice. I will definitely refer my family and friends to Kindred.
I was admitted to Kindred Bay Area after having been treated at Baysbore hospital for pneumonia and having surgery on my left leg. I was told I'd need some physical therapy to regain my strength and wound care therapy for my leg. Being at Kindred Bay Area was definitely a good experience - never did I have major issues that couldn't be resolved. All nursing, physical therapy and wound care staff were nice, attentive, and compassionate to my medical needs. Especially nurse ChiChi, she always was in a good mood! She was funny and constantly made me laugh which helped me forget that I was in a hospital setting whenever she was my nurse for the day. Another funny staff member was Armando from PT, he always made therapy enjoyable which made me look forward to having therapy sessions. The hospital itself is well maintained and very clean, it actually looks and feels more like a hotel than a hospital. I loved that I could have a lot of visitors, and that there was not a restriction on visiting hours as long as they were not loud and disturbing other patients. Another thing that I loved was that my husband was able to stay overnight with me, the nursing staff provided a sleeping cot for him which he said was really comfortable! Thanks again Kindred, for a great hospital experience I will be recommending the facility to anyone I know in need of long term care.
All nurses have been good and we do not have any complaints or concerns with the care that's provided here. All respiratory therapist have been kind as well and tend to my wife's trach with gentle care. My wife has grown very fond of John, ICU RN. He has shown her compassionate care and is knowledgeable of all her treatments. Brother was a former patient here at Kindred Bay Area and we knew this would be the best choice for my wife.Dr. Haddad has been my wife's primary physician for many years and it was a relief to have him continue to see her and treat her here at kindred. Thank you all for all you do for us!
The nursing staff was exceptional, especially Penny who is #1!!! She was very attentive and showed true compassionate care and you can tell she definitely loves her job. She has good work ethic and never did I feel like I was bothering her when I requested to see my nurse. Bibi (night shift) was excellent and courteous when she came into the room at night - at times you couldn't even hear her coming in to change my IVs. Mimi was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about her treatments as well and explained my care plan very well.Therapy was excellent and never did they push me past my limits. I definitely got a lot of strength back! Wound care was gentle when tending to my wounds and were always explaining the treatments that they were giving me. My physicians were excellent as well, Dr. Orahood always treated me with courtesy and respect. He also explained my treatments in a way that I could understand. He definitely takes care of his patients! Lastly, I would like to commend the dietary staff for always accommodating our requests - their soups were really good! Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend Kindred Bay Area for any long term care needs. Thank you!
Kindred Bay Area is a good hospital. It is a very nice place. The staff is very helpful. The top person that my daughter reacts to is Debbie. She works well with her. Terrell the speech therapist works well with her as well. She interacts with Nurse John G. also. Anytime they are asked to come and help they all respond quickly. All of my questions are answered. The doctor are great! I would recommend this hospital to anyone. I would have wished the area in ICU was larger so that I could stay over night. Our family started a blog and we happy to report that she is doing well at Kindred. Jimmy (Jimbo) her cousin is very pleased with her care. Nurses have been good to talk to, they are very helpful with information given to the family. I just want to thank everyone at Kindred BayArea. Everyone has been very good! The family can also get fresh veggie for .99cents an we get free coffee and tea. I love the daily newspaper also.
