I have been living here for about 3 years, all in all, a good place to live. Its fairly quiet and peaceful, lots of good neighbors, most are older couples and there are very few kids under 18 that live here.
Since new managers were brought in almost 5 years ago, the park has been improved in so many ways. It is clean, many amenities in the park have been upgraded. People who were making trouble in the park have been evicted. Potlucks and events are held. We are lucky to live in this beautiful park with many trees and wildlife
I have lived in Acres of Paradise for 14 years. The previous manager and his wife were terrible, mean and vindictive. Thank goodness they have been removed. We have new managers who are wonderful. Things have completely changed in the Park. It is an older park but with random roads and trees. Not a conventional looking Park. We have a clubhouse, laundry facilities and a grassy area for pets to walk. I think it's reasonably priced for a monthly space rent although with new owners things could change. .
I love my home in Acres of Paradise Mobile Home Park in Paradise, California, and I like living in Paradise. My dog Tess slipped out of the yard to lay in the sun in the street in front of my home. A neighbor found her and took her to the manager (Nina Panek) so she could return her to her owner. Next day, when I found out where she was, I went to the manager’s home and asked for her back. Frank Panek, Nina’s husband, refused to give her back, stating “she’s mine now” and closed the door. I returned home and called the police who got her back for me, and I signed a complaint against them for trying to steal Tess.
My experience on first month was alright on March 2016. On June 2016, I had reported about the issue of the propane tank that's empty, I was told that they will replace the next day, but it was not replace till a week after. The worst part that I encountered on the phone call I made to report the issue was " I was threatened just to move out if not happy" in fact I had paid my rent regularly. Tenants has also rights for housing like lanlords.
The owner of the park is a miser. Our home is sinking do to pour grading of the property and they want us to pay for the improvements. The retaing wall is failing behind our lot and they are telling us it is our responsibility, even though we have rented our spot for ten years. Not to mention the tweeker's that live in the park and the numourus cars that come by bumping their stereos. I would strongly recommend you do not move into this park. If I could give rating of less than one star I would. I am strongly thinking of moving my home to a different park. I forgot to mention that if you try to sell your place or if you fall behind on rent they will over you $1.00 to $5.00 for your place, but they have a home for sale that they refurbished for$75,000. If you are smart do not make the same mistake we did. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
