X-rays
Toothaches: Toothaches can occur for a number of reasons. If the pain you’re experiencing is from something lodged between your teeth, use waxed dental floss to remove it. If the pain does not subside or there is nothing lodged to start with, it could be that you have an infection and will require immediate care. Our team can look at your problem tooth via a visual exam and dental X-Rays. Depending on the severity, treatment can range from a dental filling or crown, or you could require root canal therapy or tooth extraction. While waiting for an appointment, don’t be afraid to take an over-the-counter pain reliever (as instructed) to reduce discomfort.
Oral Cancer Screening
At each dental checkup, we’ll conduct an oral cancer screening in order to find tissue that looks suspiciously pre-cancerous or cancerous. We look for early warning signs such as a scaly patch, a sore that won’t heal or a lump in any oral tissue.

Teeth Cleaning
Before Dr. Shah makes a recommendation for specific dental treatments, she’ll need to understand exactly what your smile needs. That’s where a dental exam and cleaning come into play. At these appointments that should be scheduled every six months, the dentist will evaluate your dental and oral health, and the hygienist will provide a refreshing cleaning. Digital x-rays will be taken once a year and we’ll also assess the health of your gum tissue.
